The cause of all their problems was getting promoted into the premier a few seasons back! Seems ironic that being successful for a season or two is the downfall for most of these sides.
Great Postcard.
Are these going to be printed so that they can be handed out on March the 6th? It would be a very effective way for fans from other clubs to send the message to Prescott. All it needs is a signature and a stamp.
Good idea.
Maybe take it a stage further and get some postcard size ones done. You could have it all pre-printed…. Prescott’s address, some blurb about the need for a stadium, maybe a good picture on the front, etc. Then all it needs is somewhere to sign and put the senders address, and affix...
Shame the greyhound stadium could not have been developed for our new stadium. All that land to the East where the offices used to be now has flats on it - what a waste of a big site. Would of been easy to get planning permission seeing as there is already a stadium there, and all the locals...
I have been looking on the internet for contact details (email would be best) for the team working on the London 2012 Olympic bid, particularly Barbara Cassani , and have had no luck so far. Perhaps you guys might have more luck and can post them on here for me. Have tried this website but...
I think it is a bit a bit more obvious why Pompey kicked out Merson last year. Seemed a bit strange at the time that a club who had just been promoted to the Premier division let their best player leave on a free transfer! I hope he gets himself sorted out otherwise I think he will be in a...
Seeing as the Argus is pushing the Falmer stadium bigtime today, can someone make sure that they get tipped off about this flower plan. If it gets a mention in the later additions of the paper along with the planned date and address to be sent to, then maybe a few more bunches might find there...
So if our understanding is right and the new 2000 seats will be for away supporters then this is not going to give Brighton supporters many more tickets for matches than we have already!
I reckon there are about 750 seats in the away block of which 375 are always allocated to away supporters...
Anyone know what the detail is for the extra 2000 seats at the Western end of the Withdean Stadium? Will they be inside or outside the running track and are they for home or away supporters?
So what "sell on" fee to we get for this type of deal if it is permenant? Did we have a sell on clause as part of the transfer deal that took him to Spurs.
Height and some physical presence is what we have been lacking up front all season. Big Trev can be no worse than Henderson (but hopefully 10 times better!). He is going to take a lot of pressure off Knight, and I hope provide the flick on's and knock downs that Knight will thrive on. I don't...
Got to agree that pay on the gate will be the biggest factor. Loads of people used to make a decision to go to a match only a couple of days or even hours before a Goldstone match. Now at Withdean if you don't book weeks in advance you have got no chance of getting anymore than 3 or 4 seats in...
One huge publicity stunt I would imagine. Guess either
A. Has just released a new single
B. Has just realeased a new album
C. Has just released tickets for concerts
D. Has just written a book about her life story
The fact it has even got us talking about it on north stand chat shows how easy...
Rio not going could be a good thing. He has been going through a bit of a dodgy spell at Man Ure recently and his International performances have been nothing special. However there ain't much choice for a central defence partnership by the looks of the squad. Campbell Upson or Campbell Terry!
Another name could be Jean Tigana ex Fulham. He has just settled an un-fair dismissal case with Fulham following his sacking by Al-Fayed earlier this year.
Don't think he has another job at the moment, but may be wrong!
Ex Fulham managers who fall out with Fayed seem to do well at Brighton!
If he does not go to Reading then it will only be a matter of time before another 1st Div club sacks their manager / manager walks out on them, and comes after him. We can't go through this again every time that happens.
If he were to last till the summer he would be out of contract and...
Dick Knight has done brilliantly in bringing a succession of top managers to the club even though the training facilities are crap, we have no money to speak of, and we play football in an athletics stadium.
Any manager these days has clauses in their contract to leave for another club if they...
The "temporary" ground looks like it will have a better atmosphere than Withdean. Seating round all four sides, a decent covered stand, and not sat a million miles away from the pitch. Shame there is not a Hockey stadium in Sussex that we could have used...
He looked like the sort of player that we need to link up with Knight. Henderson just does not look the part for some reason. He seemed to be knackered from the moment the match started till it finished against Wednesday.
