Noel Whelen has had his contract terminated by Millwall.
What chance McGhee might give him a go?
In my opinion he would be perfect alongside Leon Knight:clap2

Mc Ghee signed him for Milwall. In my opinion, he would be the perfect target man and foil for Knight.

Sign him up on trial!

Despite the fact that he looked shite last year for Palarse I have to agree that he's worth a look.

A short term contract maybe for a month would be a good option. Could do the job for us on Boxing day whilst Leon is out.

I read his contract was terminated for "personal reasons" - any idea? Or is this what the pub references are about?

Mind, if he's been spending his time in pubs in the Bermondsey area, he must be able to look after himself OK...none of your Henderson-style falling over, unless it's down to the drink.

When he was at Coventry, Strachan moved Whelan into the Strachan family home, due to young Noel's excessive lifestyle. He has always looked talented since the early days at Leeds, however he is also very good at enjoying himself.

A short term contract maybe an option, but it reminds me of Kitson.......
