I suspect Virgo is playing central midfield thanks to a great display at Crewe. He is also a real threat at set pieces which would explain why he is in the team. Don't think he will stay there long though on yesterday's showing.
With regard to Adams style of play again look at the Crewe game...
Which Adams team?
The team that played the opposition of the park to win the league? The team that played some of the best football I have seen for ages at Crewe or the team that was appalling yesterday?
Think these two bits are harsh. Agree with the rest.
Think Mcleod looked good when he came on and helped to spark an improved second half.
Murray had a quiet game with poor service. Forster worked his socks off running the channels.
Agree completely.
Virgo tries hard and is a threat at set pieces but he is not a central midfielder.
Would not be suprised if Livermore is given that role on Tuesday.
But he could do that without handing in a transfer request. When Virgo went to Celtic the fans were supportive and understood. If Forest had actually made an offer and Joel said he wanted to go I could understand it. However as it is no offer has been made and he has asked for a move after just...
IMO no. I prefer Hawkins but if Lynch gets into the side and plays a blinder then there would be no need to drop him. Hawkins would then need to force his way back into the team and fight for his place. Personally I think competition is good and if people have guaranteed places it gets lost.
I think this year especially the fans are demanding short term success - largely due to the change in manager.
A number of supporters were unhappy that Wilkins was sacked after finishing 7th. Therefore I think this season more than ever there is a demand for a more successful season.
I think Lynch will play (if Hawkins is injured). If the club have turned down his transfer request it must surely be because they think he has a role to play. With Hawkins injured I think Lynch will get the chance he is after. I cannot see the point in turning down a transfer request and then...
Thanks. Have not seen all the threads on here so have not seen that.
Would be suprised if true though. If Mickey has fallen out with a player I doubt he would still want him around. I can understand Lynch being unhappy but to be honest whoever was left out would be.
Where have I said that? I was simply asking BHAdeb a question. I had not heard anything about a falling out and was asking if she had a reason behind what she said.
Why is it ridiculous? 7 points out of 9 and a win in the cup would seem to justify Adams' decision.
With the pressure on MA to do better than Wilkins last season he needs to pick the team that will get results now - not the team with the best potential for the future.
Why do you think he has had a falling out? I cannot see that written anywhere.
I suspest that Lynch simply wants to go to get guaranteed first team football. MA has probably turned down the request because he rates Joel Lynch and knows that during the course of the season will make an important...
Have only been to away games so far (plus the home friendlies) but from what I have seen he is, imo, more dominant in the air than Lynch.
However I don't really see why being pro one player makes you anti another. I think all 3 players are excellent centre backs for this division.
2 reasons the way I see it:
1. Hawkins is more dominanat in the air than Lynch
2. Far more experience.
By the way I am not anti-Lynch. Love him as a player just think that it would be wrong to drop Hawkins at the moment.
