Not really.

I'm not thick enough to think we're better of signing one player who's played a good 45 minutes against us in a friendly (from what you saw of it anyway, you were working so wouldn't have seen the whole half) than a player who's proven at a higher level, got a solid career behind him and who actually supports the club!

That would be the most sensible option.

I personally think when he is fit he is fantastic and would love a fully fit Ifill, Unfortunately it dosen't happen very often so i would err on the side of caution!!

A loan is the only sensible plan at the present time. Ifill was a very good player and Palace paid quite a lot for him but as he's no longer part of their plans (and Warnock used to like him a lot) you have to be very wary of his fitness.
