Its still a pretty poor record for the last two years though...that said players get injuries and try and come back to early. Maybe he did that
Saw him at Withdean last year, sure it was in one of the paint pot games!

Ah ha. So he may have only been plagued with injuries during the last season? It seems that Palace need to free up some of their budget for wages and perhaps are not willing to wait for Ifill to prove his fitness, when they need bodies now.

He had bad injurys as a youngster and has had a few injuries while at Palace, but inbetween that time, he's been a pretty fit player.

What about Colin Hawkins he had been injured for ages as well previous to us signing him, fact is if Ifil didn't have injury problems we wouldn't have a chance of signing him. The board aren't stupid there not going to make him our top earner IF he did sign.
Teams lower down the leagues have to take some gambles on the players they sign. John Byrne for example nobody thought he had anything left when he left for Le Havre. Didn't do too bad when he returned after being written of.
Steward seems to be going way over the top on this one, to even mention a player who won't get into Ipswich's first team over a proven championship player with something to prove is just plain stupid.
