If Hawkins injured for saturday would of put Lynch as replacement most likely but now he handed in request we could see Virgo play yet another position at centre half and Livermore into centre midfield...livermore looking good now settling .

I would play Lynch.

Yes, he has handed in a transfer request and arguably acted like a kid. However, he is a good footballer and is more than capable of filling in for the Hawk. If the club has rejected his transfer request then they should demonstrate that they are willing to give him the opportunity to play. If Lynch genuinely does want to leave, than he will have to put in the performance of a lifetime to show his worth to the other clubs that will now be watching him.

i agree with this thread, i wouldnt play someone who had handed in a transfer request.
Virgo to centre half and Livermore in midfield would be my call.
Pick the players that want to play for us.

It's an interesting idea - which could lead to even more balls sailing over the heads of the midfield

Who says Lynch doesn't want to play for us?

I'll be quite happy to let MA decide who should play. I'm sure that he'll pick someone that wants to play - or if not he won't last 20 mins.

I think Lynch will play (if Hawkins is injured). If the club have turned down his transfer request it must surely be because they think he has a role to play. With Hawkins injured I think Lynch will get the chance he is after. I cannot see the point in turning down a transfer request and then not playing the player when he is needed.

Then you think the club should have accepted his transfer request?

errr Yes, as i say if he dosent want to play for us, which handing in a transfer requests suggets then i wouldnt pick him and would sell him.

He has missed 3 games basically and the toys are out of the pram....no knuckle down and fight for your place etc
Thats not the attitude of a player i want in my squad.

If come December he hasnt forced his way into the side and with a transfer window looming then fair enough hand in a request, but to me the way he has done it shows a lack of desire to play for the club that has trained him since the age of something like 11 i would guess.

Is it possible that handing in a transfer request shows that he DOES want to play for us but that he is frustrated that he isn't being picked?

I'm not supporting his request - just wondering if it's fair to say he doesn't want to play for us.

I think it's fair to say that if he's putting in a transfer request then he's probably requesting a transfer, which would indeed suggest he wants to go elsewhere.

Shame. I like him.

It wouldnt surprise me if we sign another centre back on loan - Why?, because we already have loads and have a lack of attacking ability in depth.

It just seems to be the Albion way.

I think play Lynch, if he shows he is not commited, make an example of him and take him off after 20minutes and say goodbye, if he wants to prove he is worth a transfer fee, he will play well, the scouts know he is available and will come in numbers to watch him, and if he performs well, he has Saturday night and Sunday to engineer a move.

Blame PETER SMITH if all else fails!!

If Lynch plays a blinder on Saturday, should Micky reinstate Hawkins when fit?

IMO no. I prefer Hawkins but if Lynch gets into the side and plays a blinder then there would be no need to drop him. Hawkins would then need to force his way back into the team and fight for his place. Personally I think competition is good and if people have guaranteed places it gets lost.
