Think you are being really harsh on El Abd who I thought had a decent game.
Didn't think Virgo was that bad at right back either - bit too much hoofing though.
Nice to see Hawkins back to full fitness and playing really well.
Fully agree although in terms of the midfield at least Thomson was trying to get forward. THought he had a good game last night actually.
It's only October!! We can still make the play offs. Ok it will be hard but no way is it over yet! Thought last night was very entertaining. Miles better...
I really believe it.
Lynch asked for a transfer after 3 games - at a time when the defence were looking solid. I personally find this pathetic.
If he had stayed, knuckled down and still wasn't getting a look in then fair enough I would agree with you. But he didn't.
Why exactly is his treatment a joke?
Injured pre-season so missed many of the friendlies. Hawkins started ahead of him and the defence let in 2 in 6 games.
He then hands in transfer request.
How exactly has he been badly treated? Had he not thrown his toys out of the pram he would be in the...
Thought Thomson was poor as usual.
Disagree completely about Thornton being better out wide. To me he is the creative central player we have been crying out for.
Could not disagree more. We have been crying out for creativity in the centre for years. We finally sign someone who is creative and a natural central midfielder so to stick him on the wing (or worse on the bench!) is in my eyes criminal.
I would guess because he is a central midfielder??
Thought Savage was good today. Did little wrong but not the creative force we need. Personally would have liked to see Savage and Thornton together in the middle from the start.
Agreed.
From what I understand Thornton is a central midfielder. He seems creative so why not play him there from the start instead of putting him on as one of 3 central midfielders with no right winger.
Looking at the squad on paper makes me confident we can turn it around.
Looking atthe...
I think Savage has done ok.
He breaks up play and plays simple balls keeping posession.
If he had a creative midfielder in the centre with him he could feed them - unfortunately for some bizarre reason Thornton was on the bench and he only had Thomson to feed.
Thought he looked a threat upfront today in the second half. Finishing let him down though.
Didn't think he did much first half on the wing although to be fair he wasn't given the ball much.
To be fair I thought Hawkins was good today (although did not have much to do).
I can understand to some extent starting Virgo upfront today. With 2 wingers playing I would guess the intention would have been to get crosses into the box to two strikers good in the air.
What I can't understand is...
Looks set to be a very interesting race.
With the 2 Ferraris directly behind Hamilton the start will be all important.
Apparently rain forecast as well which could make things interesting tomorrow.
