What on earth is the matter with him at present ?

Totally clueless and very poor in any position he plays.

problem is he is a centre back - not striker, right wing or right back - he played all three positions today - no wonder he looked crap - Adams must play players consistently in their best position.

What is it that Micky is seeing in Virgo as a midfielder/striker that I am totally missing?

In order to break down a shit team whose only intention is to defend, you need your best creative and attacking players on the pitch. Ours are Murray, Thornton, McLeod, and Anyinsah. So why today, as bloody usual, were two of them on the bench in order to accomodate Virgo in an attacking role? Virgo's a great centre-half, and he's perfect for this league. But he will never have the skill, pace, or touch to play a creative role. So please, please get him f***ing out of there and if he is to play, make sure it's ONLY ever at the back.

Oh, and if ever a sub indicated favouritism, it was the Whing one today. By all means move Joe upfront and put a winger on, but the obvious thing to do is take Virgo off. But no, Whing, who had done nothing wrong and is infinitely better going forward than Virgo, is taken off just so that Virgo can remain on the pitch. Seriously, is it written into his contract he HAS to play every minute? Is his ego so fragile that he can't be replaced? If this circus wasn't so serious it would be funny.

For me, it's the use of Virgo in an attacking position that is holding us back as much anything now.

Word.

When he was at RB tbf everyone further forward were static and he had no right midfielder infront of him. His distribution was very poor though towards the end.

I agree ! use him as a striker or midfield but only in an emergency.

Also I thought Thornton came on as a winger or was I totally incorrect as there appeared no-one on the right wing after the subs were done.

Is adams deliberately trying to destroy Virgo....?

Has he shagged Mickeys missus or something...?

Not Virgo,s fault he,s having a bad time....who wouldn,t when consistently played out of position.

I feel sorry for the lad.

To be fair I thought Hawkins was good today (although did not have much to do).
I can understand to some extent starting Virgo upfront today. With 2 wingers playing I would guess the intention would have been to get crosses into the box to two strikers good in the air.
What I can't understand is why Thornton was on the bench. We have been crying out for a creative central midfielder for ages. We finally sign one and then don't play him!! How many chances does Thomson want to prove he isn't good enough?

To be fair Thornton is better if playing out wide and attacking the full back and I thought that Thomson was one of the better players today.
