Fully agree. I though it was entirely down to Adams today.
Again as TCB says I am not calling for his head or anything but today I though he f***ed up big time.
Everyone in the ground could see it apart from the one person that counts :(
OK so Thornton was injured so he needed to be subbed but surely that was the moment to bring Joe on (not that he should have been a sub in the first place!)
He was awesome at Northampton.
Virgo and Elphick were great together against Man City. I'd start with them (although largely this is to keep Virgo away from the midfield!)
Ridiculous decision by Adams if you ask me. Have been very supportive of Adams so far but this (together with ridiculously negative subs) cost us the game today.
Yes we scored 3 but Virgo was a virtual passenger and there was no supply form the right at all. With a decent right winger (and we...
Out of interest why would you play Thomson instead of Thornton?
Personally I see Thornton as the potential answer to our lack of creativity in midfield so would start him ahead of Thomson (who although good vs Man City has been poor the rest of the season).
Agree with you about Virgo - I too...
Fully agree. That midfield line up looks quality. Surely we have now seen the last of Virgo in midfield.
I genuinely think with that midfield we now have quality in all areas of the team and should start to climb the table (or at least win a home game!)
At least Adams has worked out quite quickly where are weaknesses are and has done something about it.
Would love to sign Anyinsah but if we don't I'm sure we'll get someone else.
Personally I would play Anyinsah on the right, Thornton and Savage in the middle and one of Cox and Loft on the left.
I'd make sre Virgo was no-where near the midfield!
On the other hand sitting back trying to defend a 1-0 lead is always dangerous (and it looked like they were going to equalise all through the 2nd half). At least by putting on Thornton we had the option to attack from midfield. They do say attack is the best form of defence.
Had his free kick...
Well if 8 points from 4 away games is "not partcularly good" I'd love to see us with good away form!
Home form isobviously crap but I think with Anyansah and Thornton we now have a really good squad in all areas and one that can push on. However it would help if eveyone is played in their actual...
Didagre with this. I think Virgo is better at the back than Hawkins and Lynch and possibly Elphick as well.
Yes Virgo played well in midfield at Crewe but has looked lost there in every game since.
What does Murray have to do to impress people? Can't remember more than one offside all game and he scored both our goals.
Feel really sorry for Virgo. A quality player being played completely out of position. Would play him instead of Hawkins next game personally.
Overall considering how much we were outplayed I think it was a point gained.
I really think playing Virgo anywhere but in defence is a mistake. He looks lost elsewhere.
Think Murray would look better playing with wingers also. We had no width at all today.
Having said that he took his 2nd goal...
