When theres football on ya doorstep may aswell, and yeovil and crewe, was cheap so why not

Fair enough.

But at away games you must join in with GOSBTS etc., surely ? Doesn't that make you feel something for the club ?

I'd hope that if you grew up in Brighton and remain in Sussex for a good while yet, then you'll one day grow out of this silly spurs thing ;)

Not knocking you btw. Fair play to you for going to watch so much live football.

I feel we are sliding too near relegation - we haven't played the teams at the top yet - i can't comment on away games because i haven't been to any but what i hear about away games they haven't been good - apart from the man city performance the games i have seen at withdean i feel are not good enough and if something dosen't change soon we will be closer to relegation that promotion which is where i would prefer us to be as a team

Yeah, the only good games were Man City and Crewe and the rest were shit. We really need to get ourn home form sorted in the league. I would much rather have a string of good home games instead of winning in the carling cup :nono:. If anyone wants to here adams explination it is here BBC SPORT | Football | League One | Northampton 2-2 Brighton

Micky said that the some of the one's that were on the pitch were ill and had been given paracetamol - why was loft and cooke left on the bench - Doug loft played well on wednesday and i think it was harsh him being on the bench

I do not think we will be pushing for promotion this season, judging by the first 8 games. I know it's early, and I know im going to get slated for this. But our home form just hasn't been up to scratch, and todays performance suggests that our away performances are not perticularly good. So do you think I'm being a bit hasty?

Well if 8 points from 4 away games is "not partcularly good" I'd love to see us with good away form!
Home form isobviously crap but I think with Anyansah and Thornton we now have a really good squad in all areas and one that can push on. However it would help if eveyone is played in their actual positions!

I'm prepared to give it time, and I think it's far to early to write the team off.
However it is slightly worrying that with the squad we have this season we haven't won in the league since Southend away. That was over a month ago and in total five games without a win.
At the moment it's still early days, but if this kind of league form continues then we could find ourselves in a spot of bother.

It's looking pretty much like a mid table obscurity season, hopefully next year we can build once we've got rid of some of the toilet whose contracts are up in June.

"Got any ideas?"
Yes, yes I have;

PLAY THE BALL ON THE GROUND, TO actual PLAYERS' FEET and ffs STOP LUMPING HOPELESS BALLS INTO THE FACES OF DEFENDERS!

and relax.

Agreed. It's just a shame that our esteemed manager can't see this blindlingly obvious fact.

Did anyone notice that when we had the ball against Man City we actually played some nice stuff? Most of our play was on the deck and everyone moved and showed for each other for most of the 120 minutes. Maybe we were inspired by the way a premiership team play football. Or maybe we were just prepared to work harder against premiership opposition?

So why can't we play like that against League 1 opposition? I wish someone could answer that question.

Because we were REALLY up for that game! Every player worked so hard to get a result against a big team, and therefore we actually worked as a team. It's no excuse really because we should be playing like that EVERY game. But our league football this season has largely been played at a poor standard.

Was like that at Crewe, but that seems a long time ago now.

Why do attend the games then? f*** off to White Hart Lane instead, and give your seat up to someone who actually supports the Albion. Plastic Premiership fan. You can enjoy the away end next season when Spurs come down to play...

That is completely out of order. "Give it up to someone who supports the Albion" - What, like someone who cant be f***ed to go to Withdean? Yeah, lets not let anyone in who doesnt support Brighton, if he's putting money into the club why have a go at him?

If he is a regular at the games (including away) and a regular poster on NSC, yet feels no affinity towards the club (including pathetic statements like "Never have supported them and never will") then I don't want him there.

Anyone who can regularly watch a football team week in with out without feeling a shred of affinity towards the club has NO IDEA what being a football supporter is all about...

I have far more respect for the Palace, Leeds, Man City (or whoever) supporters on here who come on and give us a bit of banter. At least they are football supporters. Anyone who comes on here and says "Look, I go and watch all your matches but you lot are utterly shit, have no chance of going up and I don't have any support for you at all" is a GRADE A WANKER in my opinion.
