It's that bloody accent.
Every time that screeching singy songy WELSH bloke comes on the BBC rugby commentary, I have to dive for the mute button. Literally can't stand it.
Agreed. People's opinions and memories of Maggie aren't really based on whether she lasted a bit too long or not, she was much more polarising than that. Bad analogy.
Likewise Ali. Couldn't you have thought of something more contemporary Ian? Ricky Hatton for example?
Otherwise a good piece.
Five Live made the fair points this morning that:
– some of these so-called Man U reserves may be at maximum fitness, eager and chomping at the bit to prove themselves and maybe even make the bench for Rome, wheras some of the 'name' stars may be knackered, and more concerned at not getting...
[Size of chip on shoulder x number of tiers beneath perceived 'true' level] – number of STHs unable to get tickets for Spurs, West Ham etc + years spent in top flight before it became the Premiership and was thus about how good you were not just how much money you had x quality...
No I did not do that. I:

- watched the first third of the Grand Prix.
- put the spare wheel on my wife's car then took it to KwikFit for a puncture repair.

While I don't think she'll win, Yasmina has shown herself to be a more pleasant and 'real' person than the showboating 'personalities' who spend the show spouting self-hype and management-twaddle. You could imagine actually working with her, and her being good and successful at what she does...
:bounce::bounce:
Quick bounce - loads of home-based NSCers did this on Sunday for me, so if I can add a few more office-based NSCers now, I'll be well happy. Probably need another 50 votes or so to be safe. CHEERS!
Think I caught this too. Brief film clip then back to the studio to discuss, supposedly, the last weekend of the football league's three divisions, and the opening comment is: "what a close and exciting season it's been everywhere, just look at the Premier League..." and off they go again...
Plus, THAT goal at Brentford. Along with any footage of the grassy knoll on 22/11/63, its lack of any surviving video remains the greatest gap in recording history.
