I know this thread has been done before but is there any news on who our opponents will be for our official first ever fixture at Falmer? I heard a whisper of Villareal but that is an awfully long way away from being a bit of inside information! Personally I would prefer a European side than a...
Steve Claridge's job is to be the only BBC pundit to promote the lower leagues: allowing every other BBC commentator or pundit to concentrate totally on the Premiershite. It's unfortunate, but not entirely surprising, that he has no idea what he's on about. Ignore every word he says, unless...
My cousin used to be a lorry driver in Somerset: he's a very down to earth bloke. He says one night he was driving round a blind bend and as he came out of it a woman was walking across the road, right in front of him. He couldn't avoid her and went straight over her. Understandably shaken...
QUOTE=Ecosse Exile;3980570]Nobody yet, even Argyle can still catch us.
Is the correct answer: all this talk about promotion: we're not even clear of relegation yet! :glare:[
It's an extraordinary league: nobody but us seems to really want to it. All our fellow promotion contenders seem to drop points consistently (last night being a case in point). What will be deliciously intriguing is when we do secure our elevation (touchwood): will it be before Southampton...
Two draws, still behind us. I don't like us loading up all these games though, I would rather we got the points under our belts (whilst acknowledging obviously that there's sweet FA we can do about it)
Agreed: I think you're a wannabee Brighton fan. It's happened before, a chap called Mike Ward simply left his club (I think it was Arsenal) and became an Albion fan. So do what your heart tells you....
Actually you know what: with 3 hours to kick off, I'm glad they're playing tonight. OK it's a friendly and it won't produce football to set the world alight: but a couple of beers, a game of England footy and a comfy sofa sounds OK for tonight.
This is just bonkers! They're the fixtures of our football club for us, the fans. If the Albion want to make them a saleable asset by putting them on a calendar that's fine: all we fans want is a handy list on NSC. The world has gone mad.
I know we keep at arm's length from the club, to maintain NSC's independence: but it would be useful to have the team's fixtures as a sticky on the board: so we don't have to bounce between websites to plan for future matches/away trips etc. Am I being sacreligious?
That's an absolutely terrible picture, awful. The more I think about it, I don't think I'm going to go there, even when we do have a new home. At the moment, I have wonderful memories of the Goldstone exactly as I remember it. I don't want to destroy those by seeing the reality, so whilst I...
I've never been there, seen it or driven past it, occasionally annoyingly for Mrs CG. But once Falmer is open, I will have no qualms: as somebody else said, we will be home. I like the idea of a walk from there to Falmer: it would be a milestone mission. (in much the same way that this is a...
Just to divert the thread from it's kiss of death destiny....and whilst we have a few facts and figure types on here: on the Football League show it said Huddersfield achieved their 500th league away victory on Saturday. Are we close to such an achievement?
