If your close enough during the transition to return me to the swampy mud I'll be very happy. I'm thinking of getting a swimming hat as everyone in the pictures seems to be wearing one and may help to hide my identity and so avoid your flailing arms. Not sure what the benefits of a smooth head...
I’ve been trying to stick to 2 rides, 2 runs and 3 swims a week. My swimming is by far my weakest discipline but I have seen massive improvements in the 4 weeks I’ve been training. I barely managed 8 lengths first time and now up to 34 and feel like I could do more. My front crawl is the same...
You cheated. Lulled me into a false sense of security at the final turn and then breezed past with 300 to go. Your not supposed to get faster when everyone else is getting slower. I’ll be ready for the Knocky/Emil surge next time.
Good turn out today and nice to finally put a face to a banana.
Looking forward to it. Haven’t been able to do much since BM as left calf still causing issues but aim to be in the pool later this week. Hopefully @GNT is right and a tri sorts out my conveyor belt of niggling injuries. Pleased to read your back to full health. Your Strava avatar leads me to...
I had a shocking start as couldn't find anywhere to park in kemp town and ended up half way up freshfield Rd. By the time I walked to the level is 9:20 so ended up running to PP. After I'd dropped my bag I had to run down to the sub 4 coral all of which added 2 miles onto my run. So with the...
27508 just finished my granola and going to wash it down with a couple of coffees before I head out. Hope to see most at Preston park but good luck to everyone running, have fun.
Yep I'm with you there. Got race pack along with tight calf, sore knee and painful ankle. Checklist complete I'm ready to go.
Also signed up for 2019 while at the village
Sounds sensible and similar to my usual final week. Shin splints mean I’m not sure I’ll run again before Sunday but shouldn’t do me any harm if not. Hour and a half yoga tomorrow and either easy run or light gym work on Thursday. No booze, lots of water and early nights.
Thanks I enjoyed that. Stupid for the sake of being stupid .
Are you running BM a week Sunday. And if so what’s your target time. Are you on the sub 3 train?
For those interested in the Barkley Marathons here is a really good report from a first timer.

Final long run today. 15.5 miles at just over 8's. I'd like to think I could maintain that pace which would be 3:30ish but realistically 8:20 more likely as just not at the same level I was this time last year and expect to choke at mile 22 onwards. That said felt good today and managed to avoid...
