Worthing parkrun: 21:50 (AG 75.42%). Will file under 'OK'. Good to see @leftback follow me home by a few seconds especially after last week's mugging on the line by [MENTION=26634]Simgull[/MENTION].

Neither a big nor a very fast field today: suspect that quite a few are saving themselves for the Worthing 10K tomorrow. Talking of which - good luck to all those running! If conditions are like today's it will be good. I'll be somewhere along the course shouting insults at you if I can spot you with my old git's eyesight.

Just packed away what little is left of the plant sale and off for a swim. Kept quiet this week as you ******** made me run too hard in the last couple of weeks and I was too tired to do my interval training. I'll count it as a taper for tomorrow.

Back to the 5K table with a BANG from Downunder. [MENTION=17139]Capricorn[/MENTION] knocking 14 seconds of his PB to go sub 17 with 16:57 and first place at Calleya Parkrun We'll have a contender to beat Graham Gooden at this rate. His AG percentage falling short, I'm glad to add.

I'll be enjoying elbowing [MENTION=23419]penny's harmonica[/MENTION] into the thick, slimey mud of the moat during the swim transition at Leeds Castle sprint Tri on the 23rd June. Sorry to miss the Hove Park meet up.

21:13 on the much slower summer route at Eastbourne parkrun today. It's a nicer run than the winter out and back but I'd guess around 30 seconds slower. It proved to be enough for 20th out of 350 odd runners so maybe everyone was struggling.

Somehow I seem to be running a half marathon trail in Seaford next Sunday and can't quite remember why. It's the Martello Triple challenge, anyone else doing this?

If your close enough during the transition to return me to the swampy mud I'll be very happy. I'm thinking of getting a swimming hat as everyone in the pictures seems to be wearing one and may help to hide my identity and so avoid your flailing arms. I wear one to keep my ear plugs in place. You'll be required to wear the one provided on the day, I think, so may wish to get used to one. Decathlon in North Street have a nice cheap one.
I'm still lagging behind on the swimming and cycling.

Nice to see you again - if I'd realised it was you during the race I would have made more of an effort to pip you on the line and keep the trend going!

But in reality I don't think I was going to catch you, but a season best for me and under 22m was particularly pleasing as is just cycled from Shoreham.

Heading in the right direction for the weakest link, if I make the cut.

Actually if the guy who runs the table could add that and my Brighton Half 2018 (1.55:48) please that would be great. Every little incentive helps.

As an aside the wife saw Thom Yorke do a solo show last night. Venue was a very spacious feeling 3000 circular place and she said it was quite magical. He covered all aspects of his non-Radiohead work “in a live mix”, sound was excellent (Godrich was with him) and she said the best stuff was the very electronic sounding reworks of Atoms For Peace tracks. And a local guy provided the visuals.

Excellent running by the whippersnapper and more importantly he's beating those sandpaper cheating, only sing when they're swimming (on drugs) aussies.
