Mixed feelings from today. Firstly very happy to take 3 minutes off my previous time and reinforced how much I enjoy this race especially when the weather is as kind as today. No wind, Hastings felt very early summer like and the usual enthusiastic support always leaves a warm memory. However I...
I’m not park running tomorrow so will stick on 49 and maybe make Seaford my 50th next week.
Looking forward to Sunday where the weather looks perfect as you say. I’ll look out for you at the marquee but also hope to see all NSC runners on the day. Sub 1:40 is the plan, miles 4,5 and 6 will be...
I managed to avoid the worst of the wind on my 20 miler today. I was mostly running south but very aware of the cross wind pushing then pulling me along. Only got a small taste of running into it along the seafront and have to admire anyone brave enough to set out into that.
That’s a busy schedule you’ve got coming up especially with BM only 3 weeks after Hastings. I’m finding it hard to fit a taper in around Hastings so will probably do a long run on the Sunday before and then rest all week ready for the race. It’s not your 50 miles that tells me your focused but...
You did. I was on way to the Signalman to hook up with some familiar faces but the train didn’t stop at London Rd station so hopped in a cab. Would be good to have a beer, next time...
Some great running over the weekend, well done all taking part in an event. But special praise for Badger, really pleased for you. Sub 3 is very special
Saw them in Tunbridge Wells about 3 years back. Musically spot on but without the stage presence or light show. They did get a bit lively for the final song Run Like Hell and everyone was on their feet at the end asking for more. Close your eyes and it’s hard to tell it’s not the real thing.
I don’t find a treadmill to be any benefit unless the incline is set fairly high. There are some good hill session work outs to follow which I have found to work really well especially if coming back from an injury
Sounds like your training is going well, I only managed 10 miles on Sunday. Lots to work on before April.
Good luck for Paris. Please give us a report on that as I’m thinking of doing a half in France in September and would love to hear how you got on.
A temporary SB for me at Eastbourne, 21:57. Getting back into it now and hope to keep chipping away at that to get back into the 20 somethings. It was Eastbourne’s 7th birthday and it was back to regular 350ish runners today after the 500 plus a fortnite ago.
Hopefully I won’t disappoint you but still got a mountain to climb to make the grid. Could shape up for a good race between a few on here all running similar times
I was thinking of Worthing HM but Hastings is much more fun so I’m in.
Only run about 20miles in th last 4 months for various reasons but just shaking off the last of this years man flu so hope to park run on Saturday and push on from there. How many weeks till BM......
I’d go for Glenn. Every time he scores for us it sends them into a group meltdown and just having him on the pitch in an Albion top will unsettle their nervy defence. If it doesn’t work out give Florin the last 30 mins.
