I thought the equaliser for Newcastle, from Tiote, was pretty special last week...hit on the volley with power, swerve and accuracy...although it could have been a fluke from someone who can't usually hit a cow's arse with a banjo...it was a goal that will live long in the memory!
That really sounds bizarre doesn't it...I thought that electric cables had to be buried in insulated piping a certain distance below the surface, maybe someone with knowledge of building regs can confirm!
Epic fail, suffering a 4-0 defeat to a team below them in the table, next up are Darlo who stuffed Eastbourne 6-1 today...should be a very interesting game next Saturday, wonder if Mr Egotricity will put in an appearance?
The first picture, of the seagulls soaring, is now the wallpaper on my computer...replacing the single gull on the roof strut from last week...excellent work again Jack, look forward to the shots from inside next week, we are nearly there!
True, I rarely eat red meat and never drink alcohol...but the last thing I am going to do is criticise those who do either.
Imagine the stink if you had a Chairman with devoutly religious views who decided that the crowd should join him in prayer before every home game...I don't think it would...
True, but surely it is important to offer a choice and then leave it up to the individual what they eat...last year there was a player at the club who had a well publicised issue with alcoholism...I didn't see the board rushing to close the pub and bars at the ground, just in case temptation...
Yes, the catering side of the club was one of the areas that was doing fairly well, despite the recession and economic down-turn. The club bar sold cottage pie which was very well received and got plenty of positive comment from visiting fans, there was also a carvery available on match-days...
Very true, but there are risks with every dietary choice. Vegans living on a diet high in pulses, fibre and vegetables risk producing far more arse gas than those with a balanced diet and as a result can end up with no friends other than fellow vegans or those with no sense of smell!
Chops...I am sorry to inform you that due to your username you will not be welcome at The New Lawn...unless you go undercover, a pastry crust might just suffice!
I agree with the sentiment about having locally sourced produce and meat/fish products that have been ethically raised but surely the issue goes a little deeper here. The club have decided not to feed the players red meat, which is fine if they want to encourage a healthier diet around the...
During a time of dire straights I cut the hair of a former housemate and he cut mine...can't say that either of us did a good or bad job but he moaned so much, despite asking for a grade 2 all-over, that I never offered again.
I would go with the comment above about asking for someone to check...
I think the important thing is to win people over to the Albion who may not normally bother to go and watch football matches or who have moved to the area from elsewhere and don't have the time or inclination to travel miles to a game. There was a bloke on here a few weeks ago who is a Millwall...
Which, if true, shows how little ambition Barry Hearn has...most Chairmen would have jumped at the idea of moving to a stunning new stadium without having to go through the process of having it built for them...even if they did become an English version of Queen's Park.
