He's still a director of the main BHAFC trading company and the holding company, and very minor shareholder of the latter. Peter Godfrey has a portfolio of investments, so I imagine that he has been mightily impressed with Michelle Walder's stewardship of TXG and recommended her to Tony, who has...
Some details on TXG:
TXG (or The X Group (TXG) Limited, to give it its proper name) is a company majority owned by Peter Godfrey. Turnover is less than £6.5m, the cumulative profit reserve is not very much, but this may mask the fact that the company may be fairly profitable and has paid out...
1) What your accent is: non-descript South East England, with t's usually pronounced
2) Your favourite accent: French people talking English, quite liked that rabbit on the Cadbury's Caramel ad ???
3) Your most hated accent: South African/Dutch/Brummie
4) What you think is the most least...
I remember Dominic Cummings from university. He's a bit weird, but very intelligent. You didn't want to start an argument with him, he was quite intense. On a lighter note, I remember him standing up on a table in a college bar singing "White Lines". Quite intensely. I'm turning into quite the...
Well, possibly I suppose. Fooled his brother though - http://www.thisislocallondon.co.uk/news/14586502.Jo_Johnson_backs_brother_Boris__the_great_communicator__to_be_next_Tory_leader_after_Brexit_vote/
Good old Boris and his tactical scheming - like Cameron, sees that the next two years will present intractable problems for the PM: there is no way the majority of the people will consider themselves satisfied with whatever happens. He's going to sit back, hoping to retain as much goodwill as...
Where I work, by far the biggest proportion of Leave votes came from those educated at the most expensive schools who earned the biggest bonuses and who generally have a Central London townhouse and a country estate. For them, it's a matter of sovereignty.
Fairly decent choice of jangly tracks here for those looking for something new:

I got a book yesterday on 80s indie fashion - a fine addition to the coffee table of my indie living room (although it's currently lacking...
Agreed - last thing we need is another referendum. But I'm not sure what policies the Government should feel obliged to pursue post-referendum - the Vote Leave manifesto, or the Leave.EU campaign, or both? I suppose the people will judge them at the next General Election if they don't like it.
Whichever economic adviser (if any) approved that statement needs to get closer to the market - anyone in the Square Mile could have told him at 7am this morning that his statement was false. The fact that a market has not opened for trading does not necessarily mean that markets are stable.
We'll have to agree to disagree: where I work, in asset management in London, Nikkei going up 2%, GBP hitting a 31 year low, 3 major stocks being suspended and FTSE 250 down 7% is nowhere near "stable" trading - not quite sure how you think it is. How volatile would the market have to be for you...
My point wasn't to complain about the markets, but to complain about someone making ridiculous, baseless claims - it's not Armageddon, as you say, but it's far from stable. I just wish the man would be honest....
Lovely "stable" markets today - FTSE 250 down 7.0%, EURO STOXX 50 down 2.9%, GBP falls (as per Nicko above) against USD. If Boris is going to just make things up, he should stick to things that cannot be proved one way or the other.....
