    A massive thank you

Well done Jevs - best of luck on the night. That park is a Brighton institution; hope it stays forever and becomes a landmark for all future Brightonians.

    Prince Harry's new girlfriend

Yes, it's a piece of writing containing opinions and thoughts. To recognise it, you would read it and understand that it contained thoughts and opinions. They are not particularly uncommon.

    [Politics] Brexit

Exactly. Whatever the outcome, most people in this country will be very disillusioned. If they manage to pull it off, they will be geniuses.

[Misc] What Book are you Currently Reading?

Love that book - a great read. Unlike A Little Life, which marked the first time in about 15 years when I had to give up on a book - couldn't be bothered to soldier on for the inevitable onslaught of brutality, and was finding the characters really quite annoying anyway. Currently reading A...

    Your Brighton Anniversary (Uber fan?)

8 January 1983, FA Cup 3rd round v Newcastle United. My memory of this is fragmentary.

Sleaford Mods - Corn Exchange, Tonight

I have some kind of compilation album by The Very Things and I have a very vivid memory of being in my early teens and hearing John Peel playing The Land of the Giants by The Cravats and thinking it was hilarious. Must give that a spin for the first time in 30 years later....

    [Politics] Brexit

Totally agree. In the context of the murder of an MP a few months before, it's horrendous. How are any of us helped by this continual striving by one newspaper to drive wedges between people in society? It's a constant drip drip drip of sometimes subtle, mostly not very subtle attempts to...

    [Politics] Brexit

I'm not sure any of this is going to end well. I'm a staunch remainer, but, if MPs vote not to trigger Article 50, there will surely be one hell of a mess - UKIP government anyone?

This is my position too. I'm trying hard; there are some snippets that are very nice, but it's a bit of a slog.

    LinkedIn: what is the purpose?

I think we're agreed: if you're selling something or are looking for a new job or want to keep in contact with colleagues/random people you've met over the years, it can be a useful tool. If you don't want to do any of these things, it's pointless. I use it only for the latter of these reasons...

    OT Doc Marten Boots

I have a few pairs and they have all made my feet/heels bleed before they became comfortable. Maybe I've got weird feet.

The best of Warren Aspinals "Gems" ?

I quite often find this as well - there have even been times when a goal has been scored (I could tell from the crowd noise) and I didn't know which side had scored (usually a misplaced backpass or goalkeeping error). Keeps it interesting, I suppose.

Boycott The Sun backed by Liverpool council

My pleasure. However, it should have said 3,310 B shares, not 1,500.

Boycott The Sun backed by Liverpool council

It's lunchtime, and I am an accountant: according to their Annual Return (at Feb 2016), Sky Ventures Limited own 7,724 (100%) of the A shares, there are 1,500 B shares, owned by a bunch of people, of whom Anna Beattie is the largest, holding 45.3%. The A and B shares seem to have equal rights...
