I love WA, his analysis is excellent; the insight into the club and his expectations of the players and the team performance are always spot on

The "Gems" are always enjoyable highlights, as is the #PrayForWarren meme when a new player with more than a one syllable name is signed.
I'm sure the man and his "gems" are held in an affectionate high regard, by all on this board.

Thomas Hemed is the latest in a long line of genius mispronunciations.

I was shocked to discover that I am older than WA. I'm not sure why, having seen him play for us, but I imagined him to be much older than 49.

As I have absolutely no idea what is going on on the pitch becuase JC is so shit at painting the picture, Warren's observations are what keeps me listening. Refreshing that in this pc world we have an analyst who calls a spade a spade. I love his comments and complete lack of regard for a big name who is not pulling his weight, in WA's opinion.

We are very lucky to have such a gem. Having spoken to him after a couple of games he comes across as a genuinely nice guy and very approachable.

I quite often find this as well - there have even been times when a goal has been scored (I could tell from the crowd noise) and I didn't know which side had scored (usually a misplaced backpass or goalkeeping error). Keeps it interesting, I suppose.

He does make lots of mistakes with players names but that is part of his charm I guess. Tactically he is really astute and easily pinpoints where we are going wrong and what we are doing right in matches. He's also let slip a few little nuggets of inside information which is always welcome. You can see why the club sends him scouting for them, he's got a good eye for a player. As others have said, he's not afraid to tell it how it is either when needs be.

He's great.

Maybe already mentioned but Richard Gere for Gordon Greer was my all time fave

I've grown to love him. He reminds me of the harmless old drunk in the pub who knows everybody but can't quite remember their names.

I would be absolutely gutted if Warren Aspinall had to leave. He's a quality listen. His gems enhance the experience, and that experience is a good one because he reads the game absolutely brilliantly. It reminds me a bit of Test Match special in that regard where the peripheral amusing chat is enjoyed only because it enhances the genuine insight into the game.

I understand we would lose both of them if we were promoted which will be a huge shame. I can't remember the reason though.

I've stated on here before how much I love his commentary. His "gems" are amusing but let's not forget he adds a lot more to the commentary; you get a real feel for how the match is being played out from listening to Warren and his tone is always spot on.

I hope he is aware of the supporter affection for him.
