Yes, and the bit I posted was his next line after the poaching one!

Reading chairman John Madejski insists he will never be tempted to "poach" a new manager as he searches for Alan Pardew's replacement. Madejski is still...
Madejski said:
"If we decide we want a manager who was employed elsewhere then I would contact their chairman and ask to speak to their manager.
"If he said no, then that would be the end of it."
Yeah, I bet he's really losing sleep over being reminded of that statement.
It's not beyond the realms of possibility that it's all about the compo. Mr Mad's stance means that Knight has him over a barrel.
Reading are hardly going to get Coppell to resign in the light of previous events.
Knight: "£400k and he's yours, mate, and no fuss from the BHA end".
Might...
"How can someone who publicly states that after the Pardew experience they will not do the same thing to another club and approach a manager under contract.....and then turn round and do exactly that?"
He has always said that he would approach a club officially and ask permission to speak to...
Madejski is so tight that he only gave Pardew over a million to spend in the close season. Bet you can't think of many Nationwide teams that spent more.
Isn't the concept of a secret press conference a tad silly?
If there was really to be a press conference at 12 noon, it should have been announced officially by now!
Maybe it's the actual announcement of a press conference that will arrive at 12?
Please don't confuse the rantings of SDR with those of a rational human being (or even Reading fan).
The vast majority of Reading fans would be very happy with him as new manager.
