This is no disrespect to Barnes who I'd like to see come on early doors second half. But think we need some new ideas in the team and Hoskins could really make us tick.
Dicker, Harley and Painter...
He wouldn't have been out in the warm up if it was serious and something that hadn't been settled.
Not sure about the people saying Calderon has been shown up this season, Painter perhaps, but personally think Calderon has done a good job. We needed his overlapping runs last night badly
The league position is the ultimate test on a team's quality. I'd rather take that over a derby win. However as others say, if it's a case of us both finishing 14th and 15th for example then another win at Selhurst would be lovely
This is a great point. Would people rather people in your position just didn't turn up at all for evening games, or turn up and cheer the team for 89 minutes and then head off? I know which one I'd rather you did
I do like Nicky Campbell and Peter Allen on 5Live, they know how to hone in on a specific point and won't let a politician bullshit their way out of it or change the subject
Respect Razi!
I can understand everyone leaving when Murray scored the 3rd. At 2-1 we can always equalise but that really tipped it over the edge and I don't blame anyone for leaving to try and get a train before the Palace hoardes descended on the station.
I am getting really pissed off with all these threads about plastic fans. Plastic fans surely wouldn't have given a shit as to the score last night, so why would they bother leaving early. Why would they sing some games and not others. Please can we stop rounding on each other and actually get...
Definitely take our league position and current points rather than take points off us in exchange for a win against palace. The biggest satisfaction this season can be from finishing ahead of Palace in the league for me. Getting a win against them along the way would be jolly nice too, but...
Haha, can just imagine it now.
I am disappointed something has obviously happened that kept him out, but don't feel overly concerned as he wouldn't have been out on the pitch warming up if it was something really serious. Just a shame it happened for our biggest game of the season so far...
No apologies needed from manager or players and the fans should not be looking to get them either. We have been brilliant this season and last and sure this is a set back but it will only make us stronger. We should support them more than ever right now
Wasn't overly impressed with Scannell. Definitely the weakest player in their forward line on last night's showing. Zaha and Williams look great though
That free header in the second half was pretty terrible though, and should have got his shot on target in the first half when put through. But his build up play was perfect
Palace played well after half and hour, but to a certain extent we beat ourselves.
And the first league team to win at the Amex really doesn't mean anything to me. I don't know about the others? Had we not lost to Spurs and Liverpool and it been our first defeat overall then maybe it might...
Murray was very good second half, his headers, flick ons and first time passes were nigh on perfect. Took his goal well and showed some class by not rubbing it in the faces of those who had booed him all game. Much respect to him.
Was impressed with Williams, looks absolute quality for a lad...
I lost my voice after 20 minutes as we were cheering none stop pretty much. Then the nerves kicked in as the team further back and we just couldn't get going again. Palace took over on the pitch but there still didn't sound like much noise from the fans. Just before half time was the first time...
