    Getting around in CROATIA

I drove around croatia a couple of years ago and it was dead easy. Flew into zadar (very cheap flight), got an internal flight to dubrovnik and then drove back. The roads were great - some nice little palces to stop off at and the wierd little border crossing wasn't a problem at all.

Seriously...will you all stop f***ing moaning and back the team!

Yeah - what a mug I am for supporting my team! Well I didn't think the boys played badly and so I was happy to clap them at the end. Obviously gutted about the result but I wasn't going to act like a sulky child.

Now this is genius marketing. Dont you just love German football?

great fun - I went to watch fc Koln a while back at the mungersdorfer stadium (great name) - its was very empty and not that great - but as I was in the away end packed with fans from four different teams all signing about the shits from koln, it was great fun. By the way - one of my favourite...

    Cape Town

Yeah - I would say its worth queuing up for ages for the trip up to table mountain as its great up there and you can get a better feel for the city (as it really more like a group of towns plotted around a mountain). Also enjoyed the V&A waterfront as they seem to have things going on there all...

    Jake Robinson

I think robinson and cox are good players at this level - I have no idea why adams doesn't rate robinson, especially as an impact sub winger - but adams has instead brought in lots of loans to take over from him which I think is a big mistake in the long run.

Anyone any advice or experience on hiring an RV to tour in U.S.A.

I was up for doing that but as I was only going for 9 days, it worked out a lot cheaper to hire a decent car and stay in nice hotels/ motels. I suppose if you hire a Rv at least you'll have less trouble keeping to the stupidly slow speed limits. I got pulled over twice by state troopers which...

    boring thread alert!!! unblocking drains

Yep - nothing a stiff brush, rubber gloves and some toxic chemicals can't sort. As awful as it sounds - I sometimes have to empty congealed fat out of the u-bend of my drain but after at least it all smells rosey afterwrds.

Anyone had General Anaesthetic here beofre?

No defo general as I counted down from 10, and then said "err I'm still awake" and I can remember the anaesthetist and the doc having a chat about what to do. The doc afterwards confirmed afterwards that I had been awake but said it was nothing to worry about as for my procedure they try and use...

Anyone had General Anaesthetic here beofre?

very strange experience - you conk out very quickly and you wake up with a real sense of lost time (like being taken by aliens I imagine)!! The last one I had didn't properly knock me out and so I was conscious through the whole operation but couldn't feel anything. I thought it hadn't worked...

Dreaming of a 2010 South Africa World Cup holiday

I think you will also find thats its the african winter and cape town especially will be windy and wet. I was hoping to coincide the world cup with my south african wedding but the weather in all the nice spots of SA will just be too rubbish.

    What a wet blanket.....

Surely vaughan can't have gone from inspirational captain to useless just becuase of injury - there was a point where i would've taken vaughan as captain even if he couldn't bat, much like brearley. What is happening to sports people (football and cricket) - not long ago people put up with...

    Wilkins must walk......

The only thing that puts me off and my mates off going to albion games is putting up with pathetic moaning fans. This is my first year without a season ticket for ages, as I got so fed up with the numpties around me. This constant negativity is really effecting the fans, not the team or the...

    Anyone flown US Airways

flew with them last year - international flight was okay but then they lost our bags as we changed to an internal flight. The internal flight was rubbish for such a long flight. Spoke to loads of other guys who had also had their backage lost and it they all said it was "typical US airways"

    Getting out of Wembley

I went to the Russia game and thought the journey between there from clapham was very quick. Even though we arrived just before kick off, the crowds filtered down well so that we got to our seats just after the national anthems. Afterwards took the overland back to clapham which would've been...
