    Woodgate rumour to madrid.

£14 million is a good price for a crocked defender. You would not be in Germany seing a specialist if you did not have a serious long term injury problem!

    Toad's Hole Valley

Prehaps the Falmer residents who care about the Downs and ANOBs so much will be willing to make the sacrifice of flattening their houses, pub, church and return the village to the downland it once was.

    Toad's Hole Valley

The land is worth mega millions to the owners. They will want to sell to a housing developer to maximise land value, the council only want a give planning permission for an industrial Hi-tech park to create jobs and wealth for the city. The owners will just hold onto the land until the right...

    Greeks - Cheats?

It's all very dodgy.... They were supposed to have been in a bike accident in the centre of Athens yet the police are unable to find one single witness. Not even the driver who took them to the hospital can be traced! Its also not the first test they have missed recently. They have been...

How much did they flog Heskey for? I think it was £6.25 million. Can't believe that Owen has left the club for only £8 million!

o/t What's the best broadband deal out there?

Wanadoo 2Gb limited @ £17.99 a month is a good deal. Free modem and free connection when I got mine. Fine as long as you don't do much online gaming or download music and DVD's. I believe that the 2GB limit has not been applied yet so you can actually use it as much as you want for until they do!

Man Thought He Was Running Over Osama Bin Laden

That is one hell of an excuse for crashing a car. Bet his lawyer had fun with that one in court. :lolol:

I'm not sure more young inexperienced players is what we need right now.

    Craven Cottage

I was just impressed by how they were able to turn a classic terraced based stadium into a modern all seater stadium with relatively little expense and time. I wish the same sort of redevopment had happened to some of the other famous old stadiums all over the country that are now supermarket...

    Bobby coming back?

I was thinking along those lines as well. If West Ham were to loan him out it would not be to a team who were a direct challange to their promotion hopes. Loan him to us and maybe it will help us beat these sort of teams and so help West Ham. May not be as stupid an idea as people think!

    Craven Cottage

Went past Craven Cottage last night and i have got to say it looks a great ground now the redevelopment has been completed. Looks like none of the old character has been lost unlike some of the other modern stadium redevelopments. http://www.fulhamfc.com/news/displayNews.asp?id=5164&m=6&y=2004...

Is there anyone on here who didn't watch the Albion at the Goldstone?

Never really realised how much land was in the North East corner of the old ground. Just selling off that bit to a housing developer would have put a fair few £'s in the clubs coffers instead of flogging the whole site. I'm sure the club had planning permission for a block of flats on that...

How easy to get a ticket for the withdean

What does not help is that... SCR announced on Saturday that the game had sold out. (not surprising really for SCR :dunce: ) The club should advertise the fact that there are tickets left in the days leading up to the match rather than leave it to the last minute. The Argus and southern FM...

    Cisse

Good to see Cisse as come to his senses and not joined Chrystal Palarse after yesterday saying it was a done deal. Downside is he has joined Pompey instead. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/3535906.stm

    Vandals

Bring back the stocks! I reckon having to spend 4 hours on a Saturday in Churchill Square in a set of stocks with a sign next to you saying what your petty crime was would be enough to deter most young scum. Nothing more effective than public humiliation as a punishment.

    Currie latest

Fom what I have seen of Currie he looks like a great footballer - but he appears a bit overweight, unfit and frustratingly slow! Can't see him racing down the wings even when fully fit, but maybe could be very useful just behind the two centre forwards in a more central role. I'll leave that...
