Just 8. I'm sure we'd be prepared to walk further than that wouldn't we?

Waterhall is better for not pissing off residents but I can't see how it can be better than Falmer as Falmer is already set up with A27, Falmer station, both university car parks already exist, and part of the site is already built on anyway. Also it slots nicely into a gap between three developed sites (Brighton and Sussex unis and Falmer village). The Falmer residents seem to forget that an AONB was destroyed to build their village.

Your last line is just about the most..................... thought provoking and sensible thing I have read on here and never thought of ......before Falmer village the church and the pond were an area of outstanding natural beauty very well said:clap2: :clap2:

Prehaps the Falmer residents who care about the Downs and ANOBs so much will be willing to make the sacrifice of flattening their houses, pub, church and return the village to the downland it once was.

Ironically, Falmer residents believe that the best way of protecting the AONB in Falmer is to build a stadium at Waterhall another AONB.

Well that just goes to show the flawed nature of their protests. Clutching at straws I think best sums it up.
