The decision is NO but we have to wait till after the conference

I get the impression from the OPDM letter and statements that they are looking to get this all sorted out as quickly as possible. No more reports sitting on peoples desks for months or long running inquiries. Prescott has basically said he will allow Falmer to go ahead unless it is proven...

    The reason for Prescott's decision

He didn't appear to criticise the NIMBY's vague assumptions! Listening to Dick Knight on the radio he said that Falmer was to be de-listed as a ANOB when the South Downs park boundaries are set. Is this true? When will this happen? Surley this will seal Falmer for us.

    The reason for Prescott's decision

So basically the only difference between Falmer, Toads Hole and Sheepcote is the fact that one site has a group of residents who like to think they live in some sort of idilic rural heaven, whilst the others will just have to accept development because they live in a city. The report seems to...

Mr Collyer really doesn't seem to like us!

Collyer seems to be obsessed with buses. Every site he goes on about being served by an existing bus route. Like we are all going to be able to get the bus to sheepcote valley! And he seems to think sheepcote valley is served well by the A259 - is this guy for real? The A259 is a nightmare...

    BBC SCR special on Falmer

Dick Knight says Falmer has NOT been refused. JP just wants to check no other sites are available. JP would have said a straight NO if Falmer was not suitable. Club will re submit all its evidence to the new inquiry. New inquiry will be the final demonstration that no other sites are...

The Decision - YES, but first prove there's nowhere else available

So why does the public inquiry need to be re-opened? Surley JP can just ask for an independant report to be complied on these sites and then decide whether Falmer should be approved. It seems we are just going over old ground again. What benifit does the new public inquiry give? All i can...

    Timescale for enquiry stuff ?

You can be sure that the Falmer NIMBY's will be trying to delay things as much as possible. They are bound to say they need more time to address all the points for all the sites. Then they are bound to come up with some other sites just to throw a spanner in the works. I guess the club have...

Can we stop getting at Prescott?

He may not be Deputy Prime minister by the time the new inquiry has finished!

The Decision - YES, but first prove there's nowhere else available

Remeber it took 8 months from the end of the last inquiry to get to this point. Now we have to basically start again and re-argue the case for Falmer whilst the Nimbys can just ramble on and on about the possibility of other sites. What if say Waterhall gets suggested and the end of the new...

The Decision - YES, but first prove there's nowhere else available

It would be great news apart from the fact that it will go on for years and cost us more £££'s that we have not got. Has any deadline been set for thisnew inquiry? The first public inquiry should have dealt with this issue fully. The whole process is a joke.

Maybe he is trialing us rather than we are trialing him! probably wants to see what he is letting himself in for before he commits to anything long term.
