Taken from the nimby's board....

The Decision has finally come from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister: He is calling for a new inquiry to look at all alternative sites. Planning inspector Mr Collyer who ran last year's public inquiry has found against siting the stadium at Falmer. The report should be available at the ODPM web site. I will put a link here when I have it. Main points are

It is not in the national interest
would have a detrimental effect on historic buildings in Stanmer and Falmer
Would mean a loss of strategic gap between Falmer and Brighton
the loss of agricultural land.

Are they on the same planet? When will it really sink in that BHAFC will as likely end up at Falmer. Pretty photo still...shame it's the only decent thing going for Falmer!

"loss of strategic gap between Falmer and Brighton".

Strategic Gap? Sounds a bit paranoid to me, they'll be calling themselves a principality next. Then Falmer will become separate from the rest of the UK with its' own currency, paving the way for them to declare war on the rest of the world. THEN they will need their "Strategic Gap"

We should give them a Moulsecombe postcode now and be done with it!

And as if anything other than weeds and dandelions have ever grown in that mudpatch. Desperate stuff.
