Plough Lane - NOT A CHANCE. Planning permission has been granted for 400 flats and building will be starting soon. Safeways has sold the land to developers.
Our only hope for a half decent ground in the short term is Crawley. Maybe with a bit of simple development it could be a 10-12K...
I can see this ending up in a right mess. The Brighton ticket office have been telling supporters that you can pay on the day after being told by Watford this is the case.
There are bound to be fans who will now turn up without tickets. What sort of welcome are they going to get from the met...
Interest will pick up again as the weekend gets closer and more people are able to make firm plans. The fact that it will be 10 days since our last match will mean quite a few extra fans will make the effort. I reckon 2500 will be the final turn-out.
Newcastle put in a low but tempting bid for Rooney because they new Everton needed the money before the transfer deadline. Newcastle were hoping that Everton would accept to get the cash into the bank ASAP so they could have some money to spend before the transfer deadline.
Although they ended...
The excuse for the previous "new shirts" from Errea being late was that it was because the club wanted to make sure the quality was 100%. The sponsers logo was part of the shirt print and not just stuck on and the stripes would line up neatly at the seams.
It will be a disaster for the club if...
Man Utd have a good reputation for looking after young and talented footballers. They did a great job in keeping Giggs, Beckham and co out of trouble and the tabloids in their younger years. Hopefully the same control and guidance will be available to Rooney otherwise he will go the same way...
Everton will be wanting to get the deal done and money in the bank ASAP so that they will have time before the transfer deadline to get some new players in. The nightmare scenerio for Everton is they sell Rooney and then have have to wait till Jan 2005 to spend the money on new players.
And to make the story more interesting there are rumours that one Mr Jeffery Archer may of been invovled in the coup attempt as well. Appartantly his name has cropped up in the bank statements of the mercenary leader.
Whoever we get we have to try and make it a long term loan deal. The last thing we need is to get a good player in for a month, score a couple of goals, and then he buggers off back again and we are back to square one. We missed out on quite a few decent experienced players during the summer...
Got to agree that the biggest mistake of the whole stadium plan was associating the site with Falmer. The site is in the East of Brighton not Falmer. Falmer ends at the boundary with Lewes district council. We are not building the stadium in Falmer but in Brighton.
I can just imagine their dad is going through hell. After all those years of bringing up his nice sweet intelligent girls he now has to watch them go off to University and into the world of drinking, junk food, overdrafts, drugs and casual sex. Every dads nightmare!
