I suspect players from every team who have qualified have dived, tugged shirts etc.. How many dodgy dives did Leon do in our stripes - embarrassing and comical at times, but we never turned down a dodgy pen. Owen and Gerrard have been kings of the dive with three lions on their chests ...

We should cheer anyone playing for us. Did a player ever play better for believing the fans, or a section of them, hate him? He is a classy forward. We want full value from him when he plays for us and top dollar if and when he moves on: both much more likely if he is supported by the fans.
