Well for christs sake make your mind up before you get to the cinema then.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - what a pathetic excuse for a film

Agree with that. Also "My Stepmother was an Alien", "ID" and "Buster".

I remember being ANGRY when I left the cinema after watching A.I because I had just wasted around 45 minutes of my life watching the ending. If i'd walked out after that kid was looking at the statue under the water it wouldn't have been so bad. Instead I stayed in my seat and actually watched one of the most mawkish and stomach churning sappy endings it's ever been my misfortune to witness. And I only just made it for last orders after the film, meaning I couldn't even have a few drinks to soothe my rage.

Of course you've also got your true classic bad films; "Police Academy: Mission To Moscow", "Stop or my Mom will shoot", "Home Alone 2" etc. Did anyone see one of those beauties at the cinema?

You know this is just the type of thread we could do with having Meades Ball involved in. Get well soon mate.

Oooh, I've just remembered what is possibly THE worst film I've ever seen in my life. Its so laughably bad, its actually worth hiring just to see how bad it is. Its called 'Alone In The Dark', starring Christian Slater (so you know straight away that its going to be utter toilet). Apparently its loosely based on some old computer game (hey, there's ANOTHER good sign), and it was simply dreadful.

Ludicrous plot with more holes in it than Albions back 4. Awesomely appalling cgi effects for the creatures. Fantastically limp script stuffed to the rafters with crap lines such as "some doors arn't supposed to be opened". Comical acting. Honestly, this films got the LOT. You're even expected to believe that Tara Reid is a brilliant genetic scientist (because, uhh, she's wearing glasses). Priceless.

Go see.

Magnolia - utter crap AND Tom Cruise is in it
The Matrix - all of em as they are all drivel AND with Keanu Reeves
Open Water - Low budget, low grade - Jaws without the shark, storyline, cast etc

I thought the ending of AI was the strongest part of the film.

It amazes me how different people see the same thing so differently, what makes life interesting I spose

Harsh, I think Home Alone 2 is at least a 7.9 film.

Now I KNOW you're taking the piss.

I do agree with you about Magnolia though. Tom Cruise is a handicap in any film, but he managed not to ruin that one.

Alone in the Dark was made by a guy called Uwe Boll. Check him out on the IMDB, for some reason all his films are computer game adaptations, have actors that would normally never star in this sort of shit and all have ratings under 3 and a half.
