Biggest twats - by trade

Glad to see independent financial/ mortgage advisors avoid grief (so far)

have to agree on (some) estate agents - in the majority of cases where my clients are purchasing leasehold properties the estate agents don't know how long is left on the lease - often takes up to half a dozen chase up calls to find out

Where possible, ALWAYS go with someone you know or a ref from someone you trust - people whose business grows this way are invariably the best bet

that's why large organisations who have a borderline monopoly are invariably shit - they don't care - if a trade/businessman is dependant on positive word of mouth they will go that extra distance for their client/ customer

I must have had some lucky experiences as I've had no problems with any of the estate agents who bought or sold my homes: they've all been thoroughly professional and made the buying process easier.

Nor have I had any bad experiences with recruitment consultants. I've used them a couple of times and they've found me highly-skilled and perfectly suitable people and when I've been head-hunted, they've always been jobs that I was qualified for.

I've had no problems with accountants - mine has just blagged me a £6000 tax rebate from the Inland Revenue - nor lawyers (apart from the one who advised LDC that they had a case against Prezza).

And I really don't understand the moans about traffic wardens and binmen. They both do an important job in keeping roads clear and stopping rubbish piling up. Our binmen are great - they take all sorts of stuff that they shouldn't do. And traffic wardens are only a pain if you park illegally - but they can scarcely be blamed for that.

Journalists of course are wonderful but as for PR people...

After over thirty years of dealing with the muppets of MSB, Computer People and their ilk I have very little time for these parasites.

I'm a recruitment consultant and I hate IT Contractors. They're sharks who charge an exorbitant rate for doing jack shit except posting on NSC. They get paid twice as much as permanent members of staff and their motivation is always financial. They bleed companies dry with their £800 a day demands - parasites basically. ;)

I hate bus drivers that drive too fast. I was on a bus last night that was careering down Grand Parade, doing about 40 down that bus lane at the bottom of North Road where that woman was killed last year. It's dangerous for pedestrians and passengers.

Mind you, if you know of any contacts paying that sort of cash, then I might just accept your "best mate" telephone manner. ;)

A boring nomination but I will stick with estate agent bashing. Last two house moves have been messed up by them.

First time when the same agent was doing both moves in the chain they forgot to tell one of the families that the completion date was changed!

Second time I got so fed up with the lying from both agents we had to deal with (when you could get them to call you back), that I got the phone numbers of everyone in the chain and we sorted out the details without them.

They need to be told how to market houses, you need to do all the negotiation for them, they seem to know little about the legalities of house sales, they don't know who their client is and charge a small fortune for sticking your details in their window and expecting you to do the viewings.

You had the wrong agent. When we sold our house in London, our agent got us £6,000 more than we were expecting, we didn't have to do a single viewing and sold it nine days after instructing him. Sorted.

well if companies employed IT staff instead of sacking them all, then they wouldnt have to rely on people who have loads of skills that are being underused

PS I am a fecking good AS400 DR Consultant...and not necessarily looking for another job:angel:

Paki shop owners.

Are there shops that sell 'Pakis'? If so who owns the shops and what have they ever done to you?

I would say STUDENTS, my job would be far easier without them and I could concentrate with being a Nazi mod on NSC
