would be fine if they cut out that musical medley and the 'make some noise' plea. actually like the players being introduced by RR one by one on the screen, plus the other bits and bobs he mentions when out on the pitch. so all in all, it's almost there, just a little bit of tweaking required.
To all those complaining about the beer at falmer... if you don't like it then great, that leaves more for the 20,000 of us who do and are loving it! some people are never happy.
i sometimes wonder if these people moaning are actually attending matches at falmer. moaning about the trains, car...
i don't think all 'football special' trains are visible on the timetable - at least i've noticed loads of extra trains that weren't listed from my experience so far.
i know the gillingham game didn't work so well on the trains, but can we please please not reach a collective false...
don't be so precious mate! who's being snobby on this thread? the fact is the city of brighton & hove is nothing like blackpool. at all. and hotels here are very expensive and hard to book in the summer months. and as far as i'm aware, blackpool don't have a reputation for taking huge numbers...
good sensible post. the ground is amazing and what the club are trying to do, with the good food and the bars and the concourses open after the game and the live games on the screens and the post match highlights and the special trains and coach parks etc etc etc is hugely progressive - does...
THIS.
the club have said over and over the transport plans will only work if people stagger their arrivals and departures over many hours. so the booze and food etc has to work well and be readily available. and it has to be tasty, otherwise we'll all try and arrive at 2.45 and leave on the...
would also be nice of they could sell bottled water from those mobile 'beer bag' vendors that patrol the concourse. standing in a huge queue for 20 mins for a bottle of water... might give it a miss.
are you 100% sure about this? because a number of trains arrived in quick succession last night (as they did on Saturday actually). i'd had a few beers by then, but i swear 3 different trains were up on the departures board from between 10.15 and around 10.35 - i caught the middle one after a 10...
Going - train from London Road around 6.45. First train (football special i think) was packed so nobody could get on, but the second train (eastbourne service, which was 8 carriages long, so i assumed this had been extended for the football) had loads of room. so good journey there.
Return -...
sorry that should have said 'non stop' rather than direct... obviously they're all direct, but some stop before arriving at brighton. more importantly, do we know if the concourse bars will be open after the match tonight?
aside from the ticketing issues... do we know if the concourse bars will be open post match? i assumed they would be, but it appears Dick's is shut after the match so wondered about the concourses? i hope so. loads of extra trains being laid on until about 10.30 so hopefully we'll be able to...
