Guardian gives more credence to "tomorrow"

The Nimby/Conservation objections are pathetically jumped up and vague.

He's turned down one already today

Looking on the positive side I have just closed a 40k deal with ODPM. From dealing with them i can tell you the wheels turn very slowly and there isn't much communication between departments. They said no to my request for more Falmer news but I reckon someone could blag it.

    Blackstock joins Derby on loan

Got to be good news, I can't see Derby being relegation candidates and Blackstock was linked with Wednesday and Plymouth who will be down there.

    So- not today then?

Key phrase seems to be 'on its own'. We have the lack of alternative sites, national interest, financial benefits ect to justify our application.

    The next ODPM press release...

Not quite correct. They often leave a few blank numbers in the sequence. When a release is due to be made available to the public the error message changes from not found to not visible. Not visible means they have the news ready on the server and are awaiting a deadline to release publicly...

No news - update from Martin Perry

Qoutes from Martin Perry in the Argus: "We have been on to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and all they have said to us is that it will be at the end of the month - and they certainly haven't told us what's in it. "I am afraid we have to take each day as it comes."

My theory on why it is all so bloody LAST MINUTE....

This and final legal advice/documentation have to be the reason.

    31st October deadline adhered to?

Did the ODPM confirm how you would receive the news?

    So- not today then?

My man with IT access informs there is a press release due today on the ODPM website. I do not know if it's Falmer related but this is where i've been told to check for the next offical news release: http://www.odpm.gov.uk/pns/displaypn.cgi?pn_id=2005_0215 Not yet visible.

    Harty says its a YES

Reckon I know who told you. Suprised to hear they may involve the local Labour MP's but I guess it shows they have faith in the decision being final and conclusive. I think JP's overiding of the planning inspectors by putting sport as a matter of national interest will set a precedent. Winning...

    two views on falmer

What you can take from OTLW and Hartys posts is that a decision is made in our favour but there are still legal details to sort out - hence the announement going close to the deadline. Be patient, it will be worth it. I'm sure we are waiting only because it is neccessary.

    Argus say it's Friday

Brighton and Hove Albion fans are used to waiting. The Falmer decision has taken an eternity but, if John Prescott finally says yes on Friday, the wait will have been well worthwhile. http://www.theargus.co.uk/the_argus/sport/SPORT1.html IF they are correct a Friday press release sounds bad...

McGhee: "We deserved a draw" ...????

Critical mode on: I rate Butters but he was off the pace tonight, caught out with distant marking on a few occasions while he was not really under pressure to press the ball. Henderson, No blame but parry the ball wide. At least the spill against the scum did not count. Carole had more poor...

    Falmer Decision (message from Nic)

Rehash of old news but the person I speak to who has no personal tip or inside info (relys more on electronic access to info) sticks by tommorrow as the date. Apparently verdict known for over 2 weeks, just a matter of when released and no reason why not tommorrow. Apparently these releases...

"I don't know if it was an ugly goal, my face was on it"

Charlie was ok tonight, nothing special but he done a decent job. A bit of luck/more ability with his passes and he could have had a couple of assists. The main thing is we deprived Wednesday of 3 points. Job DONE.

"I don't know if it was an ugly goal, my face was on it"

Jakey does not have an all round game while Leon can play midfield/wing/upfront and create/score. Jakey is a on the shoulder of the last man style striker, he isn't going to create.

How many people will openly cry when they hear the news?

Be SLY and work an angle to skive, my sore throat has been getting worse and worse recently.

"I don't know if it was an ugly goal, my face was on it"

Ok ... Leons all round game pisses over Jakes, correct decision by MM.

How many people will openly cry when they hear the news?

I'm just going to skive work and get pissed regardless. It's for the best, trust me.
