I've seen Elphick several time in the reserves, he seems fairly quick and athletic and was not exposed.

If it's 5 at the back it allows Butters to try and dominate in the air and with the pace of Mcshane and Elphick we shouldn't have to drop too deep. It can also solve the problem in midfield by making it a 3, hopefully Hammond, Carole and Frutos.

I would play Reid central midfield. He's a very good passer, competitive and has really improved his alround game since we last saw him in midfield. Shame we don't have another centre back as Mcshane looks like he could be a qaulity midfielder.

Agreed - Mayo is not quick but over 90 minutes his fitness is as good as anyones. Apart from a youth team lad he's the only specialist left back we have.
