Don't know that we are still beggars are we? If we have been looking for players then there must be a budget? Position should have been sorted in the summer anyway so that little proverb is a bit defeatist to me.

Of course we are. We may have a budget but we can't compete with wages unless the other club help out.

Unfair comment on Jason Dodd who has had an ankle op (exactly the same as McCammon and McGhee himself when he was playing) which is practically right now and he's hoping to be back. He's already played twice the number of games Kitson did.

Agreed - Mayo is not quick but over 90 minutes his fitness is as good as anyones. Apart from a youth team lad he's the only specialist left back we have.
