There will likely not be a season in 2011/2012 so don't plan a trip just around a possible game. Expect the owners to lock the players out for the season in 2011.
I use this one www.dimeadozen.org :: EzTorrent v0.6.3 it can take a bit of checking to get an account as they have a cap on how many users they will allow. Lots of good live recordings.
Not really. When the prospective new teams/cities were bidding on one of the new franchises Montreal entered a bid under what the league was asking for. Saputo basically took a like it or lump it stance with MLS. MLS answered back by giving Vancouver a team, official as of today. So I think...
Have had seats in 110 from just about day 1. The 'pitch invasion' was at the end of the season long after the game had ended. Did Chicago away both seasons and Kolumbus last year.
Remember listening to one guy from England when we were leaving the stadium last summer. He was laughing at...
Art Institute is a must. That whole area is nice The Art Institute of Chicago
Chicago and (oddly enough) Savanah Georgia celebrate St Patrick's day like mad. If you are there for St Patrick's day kiss your liver goodbye.
Wrigleyville is a great area for bars. Miracle mile if you need...
Already banned here in Ontario. The real hassle is when you want a cigar. You are no longer allowed to walk into the humidor and select your cigar. You must tell the salesperson what you want and they need to go in and get it for you. Browsing for cigars in the humidor was half the fun of...
This game was canceled after similar 3 hour delay month and half ago. It was scheduled for Tuesday. Storm knocked the lights out so it was rescheduled for Wednesday .. review of last nights version is somewhat priceless..
This is not a joke, though it feels like one - D.C. United - Behind the Badge
I'd have to go with Lafitte's Blacksmith Bar in New Orleans, but it's been a while since I was there.
Built in the 1770's (old for the yanks) it is rumoured to be the blacksmith shop where the pirate Jean Lafitte hawked his stolen loot. Not at all modernized since then (well maybe the bathroom...
Jose was just in the states last weekend at the MLS Cup. It wouldn't shock me if the US mens national team took a stab at him. Also wouldn't shock me if he was over just checking out NY and LA as places to coach. I'd suspect after checking them out he would flee back to Europe and say wtf...
Can anyone in North America let me know if there is a way to watch this? Any chance of getting a DVD burned. I'd really like to actually see a game every few years :( Watching the 83 FA DVD set over and over again is getting kind of sad allthough the BBC computer room always makes me laugh!
Thanks. I find it confusing because lots of changes were made to our stadium over the summer related to the FA. However in hindsight these restrictions were placed by the FA due to the world under 20 tournament being in Toronto and would have nothing to do with MLS.
I always find the cheapest way to move about the states is http://www.southwest.com/ if you have an idea where you want to go and are somewhat flexible with dates. I've been able to do one ways from Buffalo to Orlando for $80. Lots of good deals with Southwest. Unlike most airlines over here...
