I always find the cheapest way to move about the states is http://www.southwest.com/ if you have an idea where you want to go and are somewhat flexible with dates. I've been able to do one ways from Buffalo to Orlando for $80. Lots of good deals with Southwest. Unlike most airlines over here Southwest gives it's best fares to the people who book early, the late bookers pay much more.
