As I said earlier, I hope you're right but I think people may be disapointed if they expect our current strikers to score loads next season. In the 'easy' league..
send 50% less people than the licence fee funded bbc if reports are to be belived. Also (hopefully) not make it a chat show for three old golfing buddies as MoTD has now become. It'll still be a bit shit though.
I'm coming round to the idea of Wilkins. I wasn't sure at first but look at Watford to see how taking a chance on a less experienced manager *can* work. I think it's a bit of a risk but i think it might be one worth taking..
If he hadn't fallen out with our top goal scorer and the closest thing we had to a target man, been totally incapable of replacing them and spend most of his preseason budget on some useless argentianain who was never going to make it over here THEN there may have been some options..
but you're mentioning all the negatives there. he's also been at the club for three promotions. It's fine to question his role but remember while he's been here there's been more good than bad!
to make sure he gets first team football
to be seen to be backing a mate of his current boss
to show that he respects authority because, lets face it, slagging off any manager isn't going to help his career
to ensure he keeps his first team place
I thought henderson had a good game and pulled offf some good saves (probably could've done better for the goal but it's a bit harsh to blame him 100%).
Did anyone else think his famous 'distribution' was awful though? I mean worse than MK's?
