It was reported yesterday, I think on BBC, that the Russians in Brazil had turned that down, they still want all of it.
I expect they are queueing for flights to mother Russia so they can enlist
The ruble is falling again.

Spare a thought for the Russians at the central bank, anxiously looking at their computer screens.

Like Palace fans staring at the Premier League table.
Hopefully their computer screens will fail soon.

Sorry if I'm being dumb here - which Russians in Brazil?

Reuters reported that 3 Russian oil refineries have reduced their production due to losses and may have to close in the new year. Big shame.

Also reported that Ukraine hit weapons storage in Bryansk with drones yesterday: damage plus secondary explosions later. Russia said they missed completely... it's so hard to know who to believe 🤷🏼‍♂️.

I can't help thinking this is a negotiating tactic so that accepting only a 20-30% land grab can be spun as 'compromise'.

Yes, but it doesn't matter as long as Ukraine refuse. No one (Trump can try) can legitimately argue to Ukraine that it's right they give up some of it. You don't invade a country, fail, and then get to keep some of it.

A dystopian regime operating in a ramshackle way (despite their black-clad weirdo loyalists) with increasingly dilapidated infrastructure and depleted resources while also enjoying waning support. Meanwhile, their financial problems pile up around them.

And Russia's screwed as well.

It's WW3 I tell you!

And yet the West still rolls over & fall for it. If we had all stood up in the early days & given Ukraine the tools to win Ukraine would not be in the position it finds itself now, they would have won by now. Something many of us on here have already said & no doubt will say again.

I hope Russia keeps publicly turning down the "20%" offer ... which may be a phantom leak anyway.
Keep refusing it, Russia, keep showing the world what you REALLY want. The West can be pretty stupid, and yearn to return to the days of 'peace and cheap energy', so Russia, you have to keep ramming it down our throats until we finally get it ...ffs 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

They should have arrested him in place of Putin
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov heading their delegation. International Court should hurry through an arrest warrant for the scum.
