Wrong Wilkins took us through the transitional period and had to introduce his young and inexperienced players but he got on with it and then got the sack for finishing 7Th there is no justice-Knight need replacing and as soon as people see it the better he is the one that has f*cked up so he should pay the price not Adams.

No- one but Knight and Wilkins knows why he lost his job. from the outside it seems a bit harsh (although persoanlly, the football Wilkins dished up in the second half of the seaaon was some of most unenjoyable games I have suffered for a long time).

The extremes this season have been more pronounced ( beating Man City, Leiccester and Millwall - losing to Yeovil, Walsall) and some decision to seem odd ( letting Lynch go out on loan and yet perservering with Hawkins).

Part of the problem this season is that we only have two goalscoring forwards in the squad and they have both attracted time out of the team through injury and suspension that we can ill afford - hence the flogging of Virgo up front.

We still lack a creative midfielder who can "unlock" defences and the full backs are too clo when attachked by people withe pace on the flanks.

Given that Micky is only a few months into the job I'm optimistic enough to think he will improve on the poor start to this season and we'll sit around lower mid table.

For whatever reasons Wilkins was sacked - get over it. It's academic to keep bringing him up and saying how things were so much rosier when he was in charge. He isn't anymore and isn't likely to be anytime soon. Yes you're right to have a moan about him going at the time, but to keep barking on about it isn't going to help anyone.

We were terrible after Carlisle scored on Saturday - the guy sitting behind me was from Newcastle and only sees a few games per season. He described it as seeing the individual and collective confidence suddenly draining away. Draw your own conclusions from what you see but I think most of those who went to Carlisle will worry having seen such a performance from the players and management.

I hope as has been mentioned elsewhere that Micky will give them a right good kick up the arse because of it and they come out fighting at Hartlepool tomorrow night.

Unbeaten at home for a while in the 2nd half of last season. Granted we weren't great away but we were WINNING at least.

Your right that i should forget it.

But would you if you were in Deano position 20 years of Albion Service and then you get the job you really wanted and you start to build a squad of youth and old heads with the aim to get us into Falmer in the Championship and then your legs are cut away from you from a relatively new boy (Knight) because he can.
I don't want Adams Sacked as that would be another waste of money just like the sacking of Wilkins it's not as if we can afford it.

It was a brainless decision and Knight should take the rap for it after all he is way beyond his sell by date.

Because people have claimed, yourself included, that we were poor throughout last season and merely achieved 7th place through a series of meaningless wins at the end of the season.

Give the guy some time i.e. a year, to get HIS team settled then judge if we're making progress.

Firstly I am as disappointed as anyone and people have a right to be pissed off with the performances so far this season. When i was talking about tolerance, I was suggesting that under a different manager, there would not be so much negativity around. The fact it is Micky makes people think that based on his previous success with us, it will just continue once he re-joined us, which is simply not how it works.

Perhaps he realised, being more experienced than Wilkins, that the side as it stood wouldnt be good enough for what looked to be going to bea more difficult season. Didnt Peter Taylor leave us when we got to the Championship for the self same reason, he didnt think the side was going to be good enough for the Championship.
