Question to the "we were awful all of last season and fluked all 69 points" brigade

As Seasider78 says, what has happened to a little patience and grace?

So far it has cost me and Mrs MP about a £600 this season to watch some unmitigated bilge. Are you suggesting £1200 or £1800 by the end of the season would be more reasonable. At what point am I allowed to complain I am not getting value for money and that I think MA may have something to do with it?

Am I wrong in thinking that Adams was brought into the club to make us take the next step(i.e promotion)? I have this idea that he was, stuck in my head. Anyway, if he was, then surely comparing his performances so far with wilkins's are justified? And if they don't compare favourably then surely there's going to be (justified) criticism. Particularly if we can't see where/how progress being made. Calling for Adams to be sacked after three months is pointless, I think, but that doesn't mean his performance so far shouldn't come under scrutiny or criticism.

I thought that it was for the general stability and furtherence of the club more so than actual promotion this season. Obviously DK hoped for that with his comment about the cash from TV difference in the divisions but I think that primarily he was brought in with FALMER in mind as the board did not feel that Dean Wilkins, for whatever reasons, was the man to take us there and MA was. That was the next step Falmer.

Didn't he mean Falmer in the championship though?

Yes probably so, as I said about the money received from TV for being in The Championship as to being in Div 1 about £800k ( I think it was) difference but Falmer has been put back so is promotion so essential this season? Yes we would get more TV money in but we would also have to pay Championship wages to try to stay in that division as there is no point in doing what we did last time going straight up and struggling to stay up, not on the income from Withdean.

Falmer hadn't been put back when Wilkins was sacked and Adams appointed though, had it? So as I read it, Adams was appointed because the board felt he would be able to get Brighton promoted either this season or next and that Wilkins wouldn't be able to do so.

I agree with you about the sacking of Wilkins as to Falmer being put back who knows what the board knew but hadnt told us mere fans.

I believe that yes we should criticise where appropriate in order to show that there is unrest and not everybody is happy but I feel that it is much much too early to even consider changing manager again, and I also believe that given the January window he will bring in the players for us to make a surge up the league.
