Great! I hope he goes quickly and the next manager gets the whole summer to build a squad capable of promotion next year.

I did not like him much before yesterday, after his "end of season" acknowledgement of the fans who had gone all that way for an early kick-off match yesterday, he can't go quickly enough for me!

Did the horrible man not wave at you enough to show his 'respect' for you? Ah diddums.

Anyone who judges a football manager on how he acknowledges the fans, as opposed to results, is a first class spacker, just an opinion of course.

I couldn't agree more. The whole "Gus didn't love me enough" thing is pathetic and whilst I couldn't condone the use of the word "spacker", it is the mot juste in this case.

Another point is that Wolves fans are notoriously impatient (they'd been on McCarthy's back for a couple of years before he was sacked despite him doing a good job in keeping them in the Premiership). I can't see them tolerating Poyet's style of football unless he got them instant results.

pork pie and others, you do realise that weve had a Withdean budget this season, whereas next season we'll have an Amex budget. Just a thought.

You're joking, right? We've brought a 2.5million pound player, and a 1+ plus player as well as the wages and it's a 'Withdean' budget? What on earth were Coppell/Taylor/McGhee worrying about?

Ok, my mistake; the income available at the end of last season was just the same as this.

The guy needs to shut his mouth, put his brain in gear, and get on with the job the Club are paying him to do!
This.

Good Manager, may one day be great. But have progressively got bored and then angry about his flouncing towards refs, pitches, "lack" of money and so on. When he started on the fans I suddenly realised I wouldn't mind if he left.

Why? Results are hard, respect for the fans is easy. If all that is needed is a wee clap and a wave and a Manager cant be bothered to do that then that Manager deserves little respect

So you need to be spoon fed claps and waves to appreciate how bloody good Poyet is for this club?

I didn't say that. Poyet has indeed been great for the club. Doesn't preclude him from being respectful and polite to the fans. A wave and a clap cost nothing and takes seconds. I guess it's about manners. My apologies.

Pretty much nothing to do with anything, is it? To say this year we've had the same amount to spend as we did at Withdean is nonsense. You must see that?

ABC, i take it you weren't at Barnsley / Burnley? Both times, he applauded the travelling fans and gave them a wave.

Started reading this thread and then got bored with some of the idiotic comments. It would b ea disaster for us if Gus was to go to Wolves but I am reasonably certain that he wont. If the worst happened I would suggest one of two replacements Karl Robinson or Jean Tigana as both like to play football in a similar manner as we have done since Gus has been here.

No I wasn't. I was responding to the name calling (spacker) of someone who essentially expressed the opinion that fan acknowledgement by a Manager was important to them. My response was not intended as an attack on Poyet but rather someone who thinks it is unreasonable that some fans want treating with respect.

I can respect a Manager that has a bad run of results. Even Poyet's record isn't perfect but in footballibg terms I bow down. But I Wouldn't respect him if he (or any other manager) couldn't take 30 secs to acknowledge his fans.
