No chance... unless Gus is a bare-faced liar re 'HIS project' (the Albion)...

I agree, Gus always seems honest even if it does upset the fans. He said that he would only leave for an amazing job. Wolves as a mid table prem team then maybe. Wolves in the same division, I think not. Nothing to do with who is a the bigger or what not. The only way I could see him being interested is if he fulls out with Tony over next seasons budget.

This rumour worries me ... Guileme whathisface the sky pundit had said publicly that gus nearly went there a few weeks ago.

Would be royally pissed off he went there ...

Started reading this thread and then got bored with some of the idiotic comments. It would b ea disaster for us if Gus was to go to Wolves but I am reasonably certain that he wont. If the worst happened I would suggest one of two replacements Karl Robinson or Jean Tigana as both like to play football in a similar manner as we have done since Gus has been here.

BG, I really don't think it would be a disaster, for me that's a bit too much.

A disappointment yes, a disaster no.

For the record, I love Gus and want him to stay around for quite a while, but maybe he's starting to believe his own hype a little too much.

If he goes we,ll get Sean Dyche in. He got relegation favourites Watford to within 2 points of us after the Hornets selling all their best players.

Guileme whathisface must read NSC as well then, add him to the useless journo list.

He looks like someone who can maintain the status quo, not manage an up and coming act to success.

It's funny when people complain that Poyet needs a thicker skin, or is being precious because he expressed unhappiness at fans booing and mocking their own player, but get in a tis over a 'lack of respect' when he doesn't spend 5 minutes clapping and waving back.

Perhaps disaster was too strong a word but it would be a massive disappointment but I must say I do not for one minute think that he will leave us in the summer. If he does I hope that TB doesn't read NSC and look at the suggestion to bring in Sean Dyche to continue the route one football that Watford have played for many years, that would be nothing short of a disaster. Effective perhaps but I for one wouldn't want to watch that type of football every week.

Gus is here for the long term providing Tony Bloom provides him with the budget he feels he needs. I prefer to trust Tony Bloom's judgement on what we can afford. Hopefully the two factors will be satisfactory for both parties, and us.

IMHO Gus need to work on his public pronouncements... I think (don't know) Tony MAY have had a word, after his outburst at his own fans (Watford home)... his more recent comments have been FAR more appreciative of the Albion's fans, which is as it should be... that said, you can't argue with his success on the pitch...

Put rather simply Gus is his own boss and appears to get what he wants, within reason, why should he chuck that up to join a club whose owner sacks a respectable manager because his own expectation was higher than his team could achieve or he could fund.

In the first round of speculation a couple of months back I said I'd streak at the Amex if he goes to Wolves.

Offer still stands.

I doubt very much that the chap who posted that would either.

I can see he's in a naughty mood.:lol::clap:

I'm a wee bit worried about the mental well-being of people who can't help going apoplectic and something as relatively trivial as the level to which a manager acknowledges the support.

FWIW - Gus has stated time and again how much he and the players appreciate the level of support the fans have given. But to create a fantasy scenario and take several posts to justify judging him on that... words fail me.

What a load of codswallop ! There is no way Poyet will go to Wolves, they will be a championship club next year with far less potential than Brighton.Poyet has already stated that the club have done extremely well in being in the top ten in their first season back in the championship. However i do think Poyet will give it two years max or until a big job comes up with a club with more potential than Wolves.Personally i think Brighton will make the play offs next season with ease and might even go up automatically.

Spot on BG... Gus would be a FOOL if he went for the Wolves job at this time...
