Was reading the Athletic article about Watson's injury and Winston and Garrett complaining about the crowd booing him on the cart. The comments section is very entertaining, not least highlighting that Winston and Garrett are not exactly the best people to talking about moral judgements.

This line wound a lot of people up “I am very upset with the reaction to a man that has had the world against him for the past four years and he put his body and his life on the line for this city every single day,” Winston said.

I dont disagree with any of the sentiments shown on the socials tbh, and found Winstons interview a bit weird if Im honest, but I understand why they are both upset. It didn't sit well with me at all seeing some of the reactions in the stands. I guess Im playing devils advocate though, as I can also understand to a certain degree the fans doing what they did.

There were a large portion of fans that were willing to see past his troubles when he signed, but I get the impression that not many still supported him up til yesterday, because his performances while healthy just haven't been good enough. The Dawgs are just fed up with the constant mess of this franchise, and he has been the biggest cause of all the unrest for 3 seasons now.

We certainly left it late!
Credit to Brandon McManus - held his nerve both times after DeMeco Ryans did his best to ice the kicker with a time out.

At 5-2, you'd imagine both teams will be very much in the shake-up come post-season.

Big Divisional game next week at home to the Colts. Still over half the season to go, but a win would restore the 2 game lead in the AFC South.

Enjoyable day and good game at Wembley yesterday. Feared the worst after going 10-0 behind, but played well after that moving the ball and managing the clock. The punt return was obviously the highlight.

Chastening loss for my Bucs on MNF. Not worried about that at all, but the injuries to Evans and Godwin (likely season ending) is a tough one to take. May have just seen our playoff chances go crashing out.

Really 'enjoying' Ryan Murphys new series 'American Sports Story'...Series one is Aaron Hernandez ...

Up to episode 7, and while I remember it doesn't end well, watching through his early and college life it's a car crash story...

It's got slaughtered on imdb but I'm finding it fascinating

Well what do you know....change the QB, and throw for 300+yds (the first game this season with 200+yds passing), score 29 pts (first game over 20 pts all season), and give the OC the reins for actually calling the plays. Who woulda thunk it....

Only most of Cleveland the last 3 years Kevin Stefanski 🤦‍♂️

Defense stepped up big time, and it was a great win against the most hated of foes.

Woo hoo! The Watsonless Browns beat the Ratbirds! Totally unexpected and cheered me up (a bit) after Saturday.

Jayden Daniels! OMG!!!!! Still trying to take it all in. I was so frustrated watching that game, we should have been at least 20 points ahead but we kept shooting ourselves in the foot, determined to avoid victory at all costs and yet....at the end the Maryland Miracle saw justice in the end. Absolutely delighted for the Washington defense who worked their asses off all night. Eventually Caleb was going to come good and despite playing terribly for most of the night Williams produced a clutch drive which should give Bears fans hope for the future, I reckon there is more where that came from for them. I thought we were done, I was melting down on my Grid Iron what's app group and then Romo calls it perfectly. We get the 10 yard out to give us more space and then Jayden, nursing an injured rib launched the rocket from the 35! yard line and the classless ass that is Tyrique Stevenson remembers the game is still going on and tips the ball to Noah Brown who cool as you like allows the ball to drop into his arms.

This always happens to other teams...It is surreal to be on the right end of this kind of play. #RaiseHail!

Although it was only against the Carolina pussycats, nice win for the Broncos and Nix is improving every week. An unexpected 5-3 record now and two easy games coming up - away at Baltimore and Kansas :lolol:

As a Seattle fan, I raise you Jadeveon Clowney, for whom we traded about 10 years worth of 1st round picks. He was good for one season, then injured for the next two, Then gone.

You probably meant Jamal Adams.

Watson's trade is still worse imo. Mainly because he got $230m guaranteed and was suspended most of the time for stuff he did off the field. Injuries are part of the sport and you can't do much if player turns injury prone at one point (Jamal only missed two games for Jets in first three years before coming to Seattle). But you count on your players to not do stupid (to not use a worse word that Watson's actions deserve) things when not playing football. Could expect off the field problems from some WR divas (Antonio Brown anyone, lol) but not from QBs who are supposed to be smart.

That said we clearly overpaid for Adams. Two 1st round picks for a frickin safety who can't cover? Even if he would stay healthy (which he couldn't) still wouldn't be worth that kind of compensation. And I actually liked him at LSU and first few years in the league for the Jets and hoped he would turn out well but clearly didn't. For all the good Pete Carroll did his "big" trades (Adams, Percy Harvin, Jimmy Graham) all turned into flops.

Not to mention Adams was supposed to be a leader but in reality was probably more a locker room cancer as he thought he's way better than he really was. But I think part of that was also on Pete's club philosophy letting the players be who they are (it worked fine at start but then started to backfire) and not making them accountable. Some players just became too big for their own good.

I've seen that the Titans who Adams signed with in summer already granted his request to release him 10 days ago as he was unhappy with his playing time. His time in the league is probably ending. Only turned 29 but with injury history and personality question marks I don't think teams are exactly lining up to sign him.

BTW, Buffalo steamrolled over us yesterday. Still don't know what to think about this team. Luckily none of the teams in NFC West is standing out so division is still wide open. We also have next three games against all divisional opponents (LAR, @SF, ARI). Hopefully DK will be back against the Rams but they might hold him out and let him fully recover with bye week coming after the game.
