I watch Jacksonville week in week out and there are plenty of problems, terrible draft picks, poor free agent signings, awful coaching hires, woeful play calling, dreadful coaching. The one problem I donā€™t have is Trevor Lawrence, sure he makes his share of mistakes but seemingly theyā€™re always massively exaggerated by the media. I appreciate heā€™s always going to be in the spotlight due to being so highly thought of coming out of college and being the #1 pick, but thereā€™s too much unfair criticism on a guy in a rancid organisation.
I hope one day we see a level competency around him that will see him finally elevate this car crash of a franchise from the gutter.

Youā€™re
You probably meant Jamal Adams.

Watson's trade is still worse imo. Mainly because he got $230m guaranteed and was suspended most of the time for stuff he did off the field. Injuries are part of the sport and you can't do much if player turns injury prone at one point (Jamal only missed two games for Jets in first three years before coming to Seattle). But you count on your players to not do stupid (to not use a worse word that Watson's actions deserve) things when not playing football. Could expect off the field problems from some WR divas (Antonio Brown anyone, lol) but not from QBs who are supposed to be smart.

That said we clearly overpaid for Adams. Two 1st round picks for a frickin safety who can't cover? Even if he would stay healthy (which he couldn't) still wouldn't be worth that kind of compensation. And I actually liked him at LSU and first few years in the league for the Jets and hoped he would turn out well but clearly didn't. For all the good Pete Carroll did his "big" trades (Adams, Percy Harvin, Jimmy Graham) all turned into flops.

Not to mention Adams was supposed to be a leader but in reality was probably more a locker room cancer as he thought he's way better than he really was. But I think part of that was also on Pete's club philosophy letting the players be who they are (it worked fine at start but then started to backfire) and not making them accountable. Some players just became too big for their own good.

I've seen that the Titans who Adams signed with in summer already granted his request to release him 10 days ago as he was unhappy with his playing time. His time in the league is probably ending. Only turned 29 but with injury history and personality question marks I don't think teams are exactly lining up to sign him.

BTW, Buffalo steamrolled over us yesterday. Still don't know what to think about this team. Luckily none of the teams in NFC West is standing out so division is still wide open. We also have next three games against all divisional opponents (LAR, @SF, ARI). Hopefully DK will be back against the Rams but they might hold him out and let him fully recover with bye week coming after the game.
Youā€™re right, I did mean Adams.

Very fair summary.
The WR looks good and you have a running game if Etienne can stay fit as well as Bigsby.

Comical at times in Seattle thoughā€¦.
The snap and tripping up.
Very frustrating (fantasy wise)

That's true, DFP.

On last year's thread, I looked forward to the battles between Stroud and Lawrence, then 2 bright young things in the league, let alone our AFC South.

The difference is that whilst CJ has had a team built around him, Lawrence hasn't had that opportunity. The off-field stuff has compounded it.

There's still time. He deserves every chance of success as there's clearly a franchise QB there.

Think CJ has had enough of his O line currentlyā€¦..

Mixon and Diggs though are great acquisitions

Yes, fair comment. Hunter and Anderson got us over the line against the Colts.

Diggs now out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Ouch.

Brian Thomas Jr is unbelievable, heā€™s been a revelation even though he sees so few targets. Bigsby is having a great second year, heā€™s a very good alternative to Etienne whoā€™s partial to a fumble.

Yes, bad news, see theyā€™re looking to trade though.

As a Giants fan, for the moment I enjoy watching other teams more than my own!
And with no decent QB and fledgling running game (in Tracey), practically all the other teams are more enjoyable! šŸ˜‚

Agreed Trevor is fine, he would be a star in a team with an offensive guru like Reid, Shanahan or McVay as a HC.

Jags should hire a competent GM and a young upcoming OC like Ben Johnson to replace Pederson. Look what he did with Goff in Detroit and TL has much more talent. Need to improve the OL but they have some good players in offensive skills positions.

Never underestimate the old man! Look what he did with us when Watson went down last year

Colts have the Vikings this week and my Bills the following week. A big ask on Flacco.

I don't follow the Colts and I'm just looking at his stats now, did he start 3 games this year already? If so what on earth did he do after the 20-17 win over Tenn on Oct 13 to be removed for Richardson to be put in?

Richardson had been injured, and was put back in as soon as he was healthy again.

It was a huge ask to start for Cleveland last season, after basically coming in off the street halfway through the season. Took us to the playoffs, and had a great season. The guy can still throw, and has a great football IQ

A play fit to turn the Gang Green on Halloween.

If you're rushing in unchallenged for a TD, make sure you don't let go of the ball just before you cross the plane. :ROFLMAO:

Tyler Bass kicking a 61 yard game winning field goal for the Bills is the closest I have ever been to dropping from a heart attack at a sporting event. What a moment, stadium went crazy, what a blast.

On to the Colts next week for the Bills, then KC at home. Kc could well be 9 - 0 for that one and Buffalo 8 - 2.

The Bills new stadium is coming along nicely...
