i am in perth , so am WELL aware of the afl/wafl/vfl/safl/ blah blah blah, i don't dislike the game,when played between two evenly matched teams (like the epic games between sydney and west coast of recent years ) it can be a great sporting spectacle.........just can't stand all the self righteous, jumped up boners in suits who commentate on the game and are involved in the admin side demetriou is i prize cock for already bitching about the world cup clashing with afl games IF (and i doubt it very much) the aussies get the 2018 or 2022 world cup.the rugby union commentators are worse,the only ones who aren't up themselves are the rugby league boys.

I never hear biased commentary over here in the east.

You're wrong about the NRL too, its the most biased commentary in the country. That was most evident when the Melbourne Storm debarcle occured and the sydney centric wankers all came out with their knives.

The last WC if i remember rightly we had Martin Tyler commentating for SBS on Australian games so it was called very well and only slightly biased.

And Demetriou is a very good operator. he does what's best for his code. No reason he should cave into soccer and their demands without getting the ebst deal for his code.

Which he has now done and its all resolved.

mate,the melbourne storm issue has hardly been mentioned on fta tv in wa as we don't have an nrl team....regardless of that the storm broke the salary cap rule and that is that. as for sydney centric wankers well,i spent 18 years there and i admit there are plenty.

martin tyler did commentate on the last cup with the help of some twatt called sandy some-one(can't even remember his sir name)who normally does golf commentary and the odd game of afl..........his knowledge of the game was embarrassingly inadequate,anyway ,i suppose you're a cats fan so all this would be irrelevant would't it............off to bed now ,up at 5 ,nighty nite.....

All I repsond to is the utter rubbish some people type in regards to Australians and how it is out here.

And ive never said nobody likes it. All i've said is it's popularity in some areas of the game has declined. and that's an absolute fact backed up by ticket sales and tv ratings.
