That is a truly pathetic analysis up to your usual low standard. Can you please remind our younger viewers of the long list of sporting successes during the Thatcher and Major years.

World Cup Semi Finals
Euro Semi Finals

Probaly a load more if I can be bothered to trawl through sporting archives. You are clearly a RED so there is no point in debate as you have your head in the sand about the state of this country in virtually every sector at the moment.

Look back at the posts on various threads - as soon as Murray started losing it was all about why is a wanker, why we all hate him, he's Scottish blah blah blah

You make me sick - you were just us disgraceful towards Henman - who to be frank is a far better man and achieved a whole lot more than most dweebs on here.

But you just can;t wait to slag someone for losing - and you almost hate it when they win.

Shove it right up yer arse - gutless spineless little weedies who pack in as soon as it doesn't go their way.

And you knwo what - he playerd some fantastic tennis last night - anyone really mention that?

Of course not - this country as a whole has forgotten how to win.

Erm....f*** off jock.

Your countrymen are NUMERO UNO for cheering when the Engerlish lose at anything, and I remember you were like that while WE were cheering on the 'plucky Scots' in international competitions.

Your 'boys' also never minded smashing the f*** out of everything in London for the Home Internationals, and have curled their lips in general at every achievement by the English football team.

Not everyone is like you, or I, suggest - but when it turns around the other way you don't like it either.
Taste of your own medicines, innit.

Your choice is easy - don't 'own' the anti-Scots stuff, because most of it is a wind-up. Most fans of the game of tennis just want there to be a great match regardless of who comes from where. Not every individual player represents their country every time they walk on court anyway, look at Agassi - did he represent Iraq or Armenia (or wherever he's actually from)?
Did Monica Seles mind becoming an American, basically shunning her nationality?

So not examples of anything that we actually won, unlike say the Rugby World Cup.

The reason people have resisted Murray is not because he is a winner or a porrige wog, but because he is a miserable twat

Anyway to me Labour = Mediocre, the stench of this attitude in business, home lives, sport reeks out the whole of society and the sooner they f*** off the better for all of us.

Sorry Garreth, did I catch that right? You 'DISLIKE' Labour? Well you could've bloody well told us :thud:

Stop making every thread about every subject a place for political propaganda, some of us would like to discuss what is RELEVANT!

And spell,and punctuate,and one suspects,how to hold one's drink.

He remains Scottish, and if you think he will win this event, you should double him up with Scotland to win the football World Cup in 2010.Don't go better than e/w,though.

Just leaving aside the Scottish yah boo sucks stuff for a moment, tennis is absolutely fair game for a torrent of criticism. It has more money than not only most other tennis federations elsewhere, but many other sports here.

What are we supposed to do: stand back and say 'Yeah, that's been a great use of the hundreds of millions of Wimbledon money over the last few years, but have some praise for producing a load of flakes'.

Fair play to Judy Murray, she's pushed out on her own more talent than the LTA have managed in decades.

Personally I like Murray, he's a bit edgier than Henman (wouldn't be hard) and probably better. But Digweeds Trousers seems to be on a one-man mission to remove any popularity he may enjoy south of the border.

Just chill out, lighten up and enjoy it. And you know the drill - when he wins, he's British, when he loses he's a jock.

The shouting, fist pumping and muscle showing what was we have been missing for years. English people and England like LOSERS, they celebrate LOSING and under achieving whether it be in sport or business. ANYONE who is a winner or achiever is hated in England.

All that muscle pumping and arm throwing looked pathetic. It smacked of someone trying to create a personality when there is clearly none there. It is a universally accepted fact that tennis is a dull sport for dull people and somebody sneezing on court is enough to whip the crowd into some kind of frenzy. Did you see the bunch of toffs in the crowd trying to Mexican Wave yesterday? Only got about 4 rows before it ended in a pitiful display of nothingness. Yes, well done for Murray, a fine job but the idea that he is anything but a dour sweaty is absurd.

What can we consider success in the sporting world in recent years, say this millennium??

Teams you have
England Winning Ashes Team 2005
England Rugby World Cup Winning Team 2003

As for individuals it gets harder?
Lennox Lewis
Denise Lewis
Kelly Holmes
Beth Tweddle
Phil Taylor

He achieved more success and earned more money in 3 hours yesterday than we have together in 75 collective years.

Yes he has and you will note I acknowledged his acheivement. However, my point has nothing to do with money.
