Too many Toffee Pennies in QS these day, although their green triangle one almost makes up for that.
We seem to have a tin of Roses a day at work supplied by the chairman (I think they're on offer in Tesco's!), so everyones sick of them too.
Mini Heroes for me then!
Am I concerned about it? No, it looks like a typical landslide. The fact that it is nowhere near where I live, therefore doesn't concern me in the slightest.
Take a look at photos of Mam Tor in Derbyshire, the landslips there where the road has gone, look very similar (albeit a little greyer...
I seem to recall when I was a kid down south that in cold, icy weather, that you used to get quite serious sparking between the pick-up shoe and the live rail on the trains, and that could give quiet a big flash.
Obviously if the sightings of this were nowhere near railway lines and it wasn't...
Not strictly true, Jenson came straight in from British F3, whereas Hamilton did Euro F3 and a couple of years in F3000/GP2. I think Jenson may have actually been younger than Hamilton was when he started in F1 with Williams (I could be wromg). Button has admitedly had dogs of cars to deal with...
Bath for me. Season ticket holder for 9 years up until this. Only stopped this year because of having to spend 4 odd hours each way in the car down from West Yorks. Still get to the odd game though.
Wish Bath were doing as well as Quins this year! We need a new front row and a new coach!
Used to regularly (a doner bus used to park in our works car park for a day). Very difficult now as I travel to malarious areas (Angola, Gabon, India etc) 5 or 6 times a year, which rules me out.
Left for work at 8.30 this morning and snow was falling heavily north of Otley (W Yorks). Not really settling, but a good dusting on the hills around us. Leeds itself was just sleet and cold! This time last year I worked from home for 4 days as our road was a couple of feet deep.
Pretty much the same for my missus too (assistant head of science dept).
We worked it out roughly that the amount of time spent working evenings/weekends diminishes the "extra" holidays that people on here seem to have a real beef about, to about the same as mine (28 days plus all bank hols etc).
My missus (a Teacher) is on strike tomorrow, and good on her! She will lose a days pay, although she'll probably be marking or lesson planning anyway. This strike is probably a futile effort, as I doubt it will change things, but its their right to strike and I fully support it.
Oddly enough...
It is what this country does so well, tradition, respect, dignity.
Way too many names on that list of service men and women killed since last Remembrance Sunday.
