There'd be a revolution if that happened.

The shambles that is the Democratic Republic of Congo needs attention drawn to it. Things don't look like they'll get much better after the current election is over.

I represented Zaire in the Model United Nations. The chicks dig it. Very rich in mineral deposits, including uranium, I seem to recall.

Diamonds too, if they had oil Mobotu (sp) would probably still be there (Until such time as the US decided it was his turn to be the most evil man on the planet)

I don't think it was about the protest at all. At Green park they all herded on singing and dancing and then inbetween Green Park and Oxford Circus all the bastards kept doing was pulling the emergency alarm. There was a small police presence and we were held up at Oxford Circus for a while but every time the train tried to pull away they pulled the emergency alarm again. None of the protest chants and flags came out until the police tried to force things along abit.
Bastards made me miss my train connection.

Even at the best of times Oxford Circus is always so horrendously busy. You can hardly move down the platforms let alone get on a tube.

Ed: can you advise whether the Democratic Republic of Congo is more or less democratic than the Republic of Congo? I'm guessing less, seeing as how countries with the word Democratic in their name do seem to have a tendency to be the least democratic nations on the planet (Democratic People's Republic of Korea, for example).

Thanks
