I think any arguments over her specifically are complete deflections from what is a very important legal issue. Personally I have absolutely no sympathy for her and don't care whether SHE is brought back here, keeps her citizenship, whatever. I don't think she deserves any sympathy.
But the...
I feel like I must be missing something really obvious, but I don't see how that makes the rules different. Wouldn't they all have to be part of this same bubble though? So they've all been in the country for a set amount of time, been tested etc? Surely the player I saw was just as likely to...
So Archer popped into his flat and that threatens to disrupt their bio-secure environment. But I saw an Albion player in Tescos on Weds who played last night.
Can someone explain why their rules would be so different?
This.
Obviously I'd watch most Albion games next year online, and I'd be happy to pay for it (£15 a month maybe - given it's probably on average 2-3 games a month once you take away those on other broadcasters). But the ST is a massive dent in my finances, and it's justified because it's 19...
The general crux seems to be that their actual MLS clubs are so plastic that people who are genuinely into the game are trying to get their fan culture elsewhere. Still a bit weird though.
As much as the whole concept of that club baffles me, I can see how:
a) They're worth a lot of money every week
b) You'd probably not want fans of teams they are playing in there at the same time, as a general rule
Obviously it becomes a bit of a farce when they're turning away Albion fans but...
Referring back to the OP, I do think you can categorise those tweets/comments into two piles:
1) Ones that purely felt that CH had achieved his objectives, served the club well and that being sacked out of the blue the day after the season was a horrible way to treat not just a nice bloke, but...
I will be under that. Not overly happy that people who bought some of the more sought-after seats in the ground off the back of being long-term season ticket holders at Withdean could have their view altered quite significantly to squeeze in a few more corporates (which I'm guessing these seats...
I'm 35 and relatively tech-savvy.
If I used my card to buy a game online, I would assume it's a one-off payment and I wouldn't be charged further without need for putting in then CV2 or doing bank verification. The only reason I'd know differently is because stories like this pop up from time...
I get so wound up by that in the North Stand in front of me whenever we have a free kick or penalty (or even corner to be honest). People are willing to sacrifice the brilliant moment of your team scoring and the celebrations in order to have a shit video of the goal.
Planned to go Munich to visit some friends. I think we'll probably give this a miss even if restrictions are lifted - I don't really want to put them in a position where they have to say "no thank you" to having a family of 4 from Europe's worst-hit country coming to stay.
Would like to get...
There's a significant 2-3 minute stoppage in most games I'd say, especially now they've brought in VAR.
What would be sensible would be if the refs exercise a little flexibility - i.e. if there's an injury/VAR stoppage on 20 mins, that's also the drinks break.
Disagree on Aussie Rules by the...
Wow, mine was on "Implications of the unification of Italy on the international balance of power 1870-1914". Yours sounds more fun. You must have put the question together quite quickly!
Survey done by the way.
Massive overreactions from people and being reported really badly.
It's got a horrendous passage where two racial slurs are used, and the big joke is that Major is getting confused over what slurs are correct for which ethnicity. It's aged horrendously, and is in a program that otherwise people...
Is there an argument (and please don't take this as me defending the Premier League or the shambolic handling of this whole pandemic by the government - I'm merely speculating) that the potential benefit in fighting the disease of millions of football fans staying indoors for large chunks of the...
