    [Humour] Roy Hudd - RIP

Sad news. RIP Spent the last ten years vowing to write to Roy, after I discovered that we shared family connections. Alas, never got round to it and now too late. ( Don't put off to tomorrow that which can be done today )

Main Coronavirus / Covid-19 Discussion Thread

A contact of mine who works at a college in Bucks has informed me that 200 odd pupils and 12 staff have self-isolated themselves, as from this morning, as a precautionary measure. She reckons the college will be closed before the weekend.

    Have you ever wet yourself?

Every day, I'm afraid, legacy of the Big C in the lower regions. Nothing I can do, other than put absorbent towels in my pants to try and catch most of it. Bit degrading for someone in their 60's but you get used to it. ( Many years ago was drinking with a group of friends in a pub. Suddenly...

Well....comparing them to a promiscuous, alcoholic, eccentric homosexual is a bit strong but I get the general meaning.

[Humour] Who is the least intelligent?

On the scale of intelligence quota, where you sit smugly near the top, pretty low.

Grieving? This sort of over-dramatization is hardly appropriate in the light of current events.

    [Albion] Normal Service Has Resumed

In a side not known for free scoring, we have to take clear chances. Last week, Solly missed a sitter, set up on a plate for him. Yesterday, he missed our one clear chance. Both misses were disappointing. They showed a lack of composure. Frankly, they were both poor efforts. Solly is one footed...

    [Albion] Normal Service Has Resumed

Assume you weren't at yesterday's game, unlike the 3000 odd who stayed at the end and acknowledged a brave and spirited performance that persuaded all of us there that this side will pull out all the stops to stay up. They looked a dangerous and talented side in the eyes and said...' we will...

    [Politics] Brexit

The two biggest problems we have in the UK Food Trade is contract pricing to supermarkets, which commits our producers to long term volumes at low margin and cheap imports from the EU, as a result of animal welfare standards that are lower in some countries than the UK. e.g Bacon from Holland...

[Albion] Number of seasons in the Premier League - is our expectation simply unrealistic?

Yes but at what cost. Each season out of the PL widens the gap between you and the more established PL clubs and leaves you more susceptible to yo-yo. Relegation for us now would be an unmitigated disaster. All the hard work would be undone and there is no guarantee of returning quickly.

Carriers of the common cold can be expected to infect a further 1-2 people. Carriers of Coronavirus can be expected to infect at least a further 4 people.

    [Albion] So, 10 games left...

    Wins......Newcastle ( H ) Draws....Wolves ( A ) Norwich ( A ) Arsenal ( H ) Saints (A ) Burnley ( A ) Lose the rest. 36 points..........probably not enough. Turning one draw into a win might do it. Going to the wire.

    [Albion] Positives from Today

Dunk was the only business. Propper, Mooy and Bissouma were absolute gash. Trossard a lightweight luxury and Ryan lets another, soft, puzzling goal in. Solly always succeeds in just failing to deliver. It was an error strewn, powder puff display, typical of Potter's reign.

[Albion] Still keeping the faith with Potter?

Maybe it would be better to play more basic football, with a more clinical edge. After we lose at Wolves, we will be 5 points worse off than last season, at the corresponding stage. Progress?

[Albion] Still keeping the faith with Potter?

No...he clearly decided that a change was necessary. We need to know who championed Potter and the basis for that. Low level Scandanavian football and one mid table finish with Swansea was hardly pedigree and was a complete gamble. He talks well....and.....he talks well.....and.....he talks...

[Albion] Still keeping the faith with Potter?

I think we all recognise those that talk the talk but fail to walk the walk. Its platitudes and soundbites and not a lot else. As each winless game goes by, we are still ' playing well ' We have a backroom with little or no pedigree. Different personnel are expected to play the pretty stuff...
